Love this bar, and the comedy shows! Love to see very funny local comedians from all over have a platform and place to practice! Also, the comedian who hosts the show isn't racist, he's black. Sorry he's not black "enough" to use the N word like some may think. Stay for a show before you walk in for 2 minutes and determine whatever you hear is racist.

If this is a dive then I have been in some really terrible places. I went there for a mic and had an awesome time. The bartender was cool, we chatted about Star Wars and I felt completely relaxed. If you are pretentious, you won't like it. Fun place, fun bar. No bells and whistles. Cash only, which is smart in my opinion decent hang if you want to see some comedy or other events they have.

No clue if the drinks are any good, but they tried to confiscate our legit drivers licenses. We had to call the cops to get them back. Stay away from here unless you want to talk to the police.

I will never go back again. I'm am African American man, and when I got there today, within the 1st 5 min I heard the lame amateur comediam, and the host say the "N" weird about 20 times as if it was ok. Everyone in the audience even felt uncomfortable, but they continued saying it to try getting a laugh. I encourage everyone and especially minorities to stay far away from these racist people. Don't give them a single penny of your money. They showed by their jokes how they really felt about us, so why support them? I hope they lose their business.

This place has earned 5 out of 5 from me because if you're from Ottawa County you should just know understand and have heard the lore of the magical mystical Dirty Bird. Have you had a few too many at the actual good bars in downtown holland? Have you ended up having somebody else in the courtyard in the back dark corner shove their fingers up your mouth and down your throat to help and assist you puke up the last of the top out served Long Island iced teas from the last place? When you're about that drunk that's when you decide to go to the Dirty Bird aka Parrot's. If you're expecting anything more than just another place to go after the normal bars shut down then you might as well go to The Office... Which is also in Holland Michigan but is more like a redneck karaoke tourist bar and by tourists I don't mean a visitor. I mean you're an alcoholic and you probably go to every single place you possibly can after the normal... all over when you're that drunk. Aka not a tourist attraction.

Wouldn't even consider this a dive bar. Rude bartender and one local on the rail. don't waste your time.

5 star just because the woke mob made me laugh so hard at their comments/ reviews.

The overall vibe at Parrots Lounge is pretentious and unwelcoming. The crowd is snobbish. It's not a place where you can relax or have a good time.

Best dive bar I have ever been to hands down. It is everything you want and don't want all in one. Cash only, kinda dingy, crowded. It only starts to get remotely busy by 11pm. Lots of dancing. The blue drink is a must have. STP always!

They certainly don't call this spot, "The Dirty Bird," for nothin'!

Service ( main bartender ) was extremely rude, and not to mention intoxicated. To the point it was extremely difficult to even request a drink!
