Please bring back the original papas bravas, they are so much better than the new French fries.

We got a reservation for 6 on the Saturday of Tulip Time(2nd weekend) and the service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing. We were brought plate after plate of delicious items which included; chicken empanadas, manchego fries, elote ( corn dip), and the table favorite, the birria tacos. Mother in law can be a notoriously picky eater, but even she was satisfied and thought everything was delicious.

Our server deserves special mention as well. She was clearly busy between running plates and taking orders to customers both inside and out, yet she still managed to keep our drinks full and our food coming out piping hot.

Get here if you can and bring an appetite!

Staff is quite rude. Honestly money better spent somewhere else

I want to start with the positives. The food here is absolutely amazing, this is a restaurant, so ultimately, that is the reason you will come here. The serving sizes are perfect for a tapas experience.

We got a text a few minutes before our reservation time and headed to the restaurant, and as we walked in, we got a follow-up text saying our table wasn't actually ready. We were told it would be a few more minutes... which is fine. I understand things can get busy. A table opened up in the window, and we got hopeful it was for us. Then, a group of four who came in after us with a later reservation immediately got sat at that table.

One of the workers apologized for the wait and said they could comp our drinks, which was appreciated.

But by that time, I felt like it was already just a damper on the experience. I felt like putting in a seating request and saying it was a special occasion far in advance for it ultimately not to matter just as a letdown (the booking asks you to note if there is a special occasion.) I made a reservation a month in advance, I requested a table near a window and made a note that it was my ten year wedding anniversary so it would have been nice to get a nice seat while we enjoyed our evening.

The food is good and if you were to make a reservation for dinner with friends or something it is great but don't be hopeful for a special occasion with a unique experience.

Great spot. Casual but well appointed. The braised beef short rib is highly recommended. I even took a picture for you. Look how good that is!

My boyfriend and I went for our 11 year anniversary dinner a couple weeks ago. The goat cheese appetizer was amazing and so were the crab cakes! I thought the tacos would be a little bit better, but they were still good! I love the small plates so you can try a bunch of different dishes! Caleb was our server and he was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and friendly! Thank you Caleb for giving us such a great experience for our anniversary!

One of the best margaritas I've had at a restaurant and the food was pricey but phenomenal.

Poquito in Holland, Michigan, presents itself as a Latin-inspired tapas restaurant, yet the dishes tend to diverge from traditional Spanish and Latin American tapas. The ceviche resembled a seafood salad, and the brisket mini tacos felt out of place for a Spanish concept. Additionally, Manchego fries arrived undercooked, with hardened cheese instead of a melted topping, impacting the overall taste. While the bread and fried plantains were highlights, other offerings like the taquitos with mole felt overly heavy.

Other patrons echoed these experiences, noting some inconsistency in flavors and service but appreciating the ambiance. Suggestions for improvement include a lighter touch on certain dishes and more attention to consistency across the menu. This could help better reflect the authentic tapas dining experience Poquito aims to deliver.

We had a reservation for 5pm and were running 10 minutes late. The hostess called us and we apologized for running late. She moved our reservation to 5:15pm. She then told us we had 1 hour to eat and be out of the restaurant. Not a good experience…

this place is a scam,
Food does not have Latin flavor, please change the
menu or the cook, anyone with restaurant culture would realize that it is not authentic. Awful customer service, the host took more than 10
min to settle at the table, unacceptable

Kid-friendliness: Children are not allowed by host

Great food if you can get it…

This is one of our very favorite restaurants in town. The smoked chicken empanadas and the 36 hour braised short rib are fantastic- when they have them available.

Even with a reservation, it’s very difficult to get a table in a timely manner. Once you are seated, service is glacially slow. Once a server finally does find their way to your table, there is a solid 60% chance they will list off at least half a dozen of their 26 menu items that they have “run out of”. Once you do manage to order from the remaining options, it’s equally likely that your server will return to the table only to inform you that unfortunately they don’t actually have the thing you ordered.

This is a restaurant that has *amazing* food but that is severely tempered by having either horrendously incompetent management or no management at all. I don’t imagine there is much motivation to make any changes because the place is always full, but it’s disappointing when they fall so short.

We came to this place at 5pm, the restaurant had tables available, when they saw that we had a 4 month old child they told us that there was no availability all night. It is honestly discriminatory and unscrupulous to deny a table. Many restaurants in the area, better quality, no need to go to this place. avoid it if you have children
