What I liked the most was the attention, both the girl who served us and who did the cashing. The food was good size and the price is fine considering the quantity (it is quite a lot). Easily a plate of could be shared between two. Personally I'm not eating very greasy food, but if you like that, this is your place. I ordered tilapia steak and chips and it came with a little pot of colesslaw. It is rich tilapia but came with a breaded topping and all fried, too greasy for me.

The service was OK, but the food was poorly prepared. The hash browns were soggy, and the sausage was overcooked. Later, I spoke with someone who works at Russ’s who said that they are roach and rodent infested, the kitchen floor is covered with garbage, and no one cares. I won’t be returning!

West Michigan nostalgia vibes for anyone who grew up in the area. Reliable menu items like soup, pie, sandwiches, breakfast, but the simpler the order, usually the better the end result. Service truly depends on the day, and if you’re being seen by a local teenager during the slow summer shift or a practiced friendly member of staff. Very reasonably priced food but the service and turn out are usually a gamble.

Russ’s offers an American based restaurant with a Dutch spin to it. It’s been around for many years, and I have fond memories from both dining there and working there during my early college years. The food is very good value, salads are fresh however, they tend to be iceberg lettuce based. Desserts are fresh and made at their own facility. I recommend it as a novelty. It’s very popular with tourists to come to the area for a bit of a Dutch experience.

I can’t eat at Russ’ because they don’t change out their deep fryers frequently and unless I have a salad bar I stay away.
Dietary restrictions: Less greasy options would be a huge plus.

The oil they fry things in is really bitter. Food was cold. The server admitted most sides were microwaved. The food here is so bad. If your 80 years old or plus i guess you wont notice. Horrible. Even elderly people deserve better food than this

Our family of 11 came there on 12/7. Our waitress was very sweet. The food was absolutely deplorable. For the price compared to the food it should've been $4 a plate. Fried chicken was cold and tasted hours old, other dishes were cold and soggy. Onion rings were beyond greasy. 6 of us went home sick due to the food. We have always loved Russ' Veru disappointing experience. $60 later to just br sick.

The food was below par. I used to work for Russ's in Grand Rapids, MI and given the fact this location is literally right next door to their corporate offices - you'd think this location in it of itself would be held to a way higher standard of service. They all are typically very welcoming and have great food but this was just well below par.
Waitress standing around would not even set us. Been there five minutes. Very piss poor service. Better off going to Southside, better food and better service and not southside russs. When here on Dec 3 very poor service and food came out cold and salad came out after I was done with the main meal. Waitress never came back around asked if we needed anything else.
