My son and I decided to try Rykes in holland out. My son got a turkey sandwich and he loved it and wanted to give this place and sandwich 11 out of 10 for ratings. I got a spicy Italian sandwich and I to want to give the place a 11 out of 10. We loved the food So much, we ordered the same food again, so we could bring it to our other friends to try it out. The owner was super friendly, respectful, and happy to help. His customer service was spot on. Also he gave us some desserts for no reason, we are extremely happy with everything. Amazing food and glad to have some friendly customer service and new food in our holland area.

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. First time here and micky was such a gentleman. I asked what he recommended and gave me many options to choose from and was so welcoming and delighted ti take my order. This guy deserves a recognition for making someone’s first experience welcoming and never forgetting. I even offered to tip and he respectfully refused. An experience that truly shaped for a great day.

I stopped into Ryke's in Holland for lunch and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a delicious sandwich, and the service was outstanding. The two gentlemen working at the deli were incredibly kind, polite, and accommodating. They took great care of me and made me feel truly welcomed. Their positive attitudes and warm friendliness really brightened my day. Great job to both of you—you’re fantastic employees! Thank you!

Had a horrible experience with Ryke's Bakery in Holland. I had ordered a Orange Creamsicle Cake and 12 cupcakes for my daughter's College Graduation. We are not from the area but read the reviews and it sounded like a reputable establishment. I was wrong! I placed my order a week and a half prior to the Graduation at which point I paid in full. When me and my husband went to pick up the cake and cupcakes I was told the cake and cupcakes didn't arrive at the Holland store and they were trying to see if they could find where it was sent or even if it was made. They said they could get 6 cupcakes for me but that was the only solution they provided and 6 cupcakes wasn't going to feed 20+ people. They could give me a full refund, which they didn't even do right...they shorted me 2.37 which isn't much but it just added insult to injury. I left there with no cake, no cupcakes and was very upset. I was left scrabbling to find a cake! I ended up going to Sam's Club and they were very helpful! The cake was beautiful and ready when they said it would be.

The Muskegon and Grand Haven locations have lack of communication, poor costumer service and staff that aren’t knowledgeable of their job. I went in 3 days prior to order a 8in round bday cake. I got different feedback from each staff member. They can’t keep staff, and I was informed they need a 4 day notice to process my order 😂.
I will NEVER return or refer anyone to Rykes. I went to Costco and the customer service from Leigha, Erica, and Alyssa was great. I ordered a 10inch white round cake with vanilla cheesecake mousse filling. They don’t need a 4 day notice. Rykes stated they couldn’t process my order with a 3 day notice for a 8in round cake. Lol 😂 I ended up with a 10in with less of a notice and it was way cheaper. Rykes doesn’t have a policy stating it must be a 4 day notice and the staff was rude. Definitely lost my customer service!!!! I was informed the owner doesn’t talk to the customers and he only sees his staff once a month. Still waiting on Shirley to return my call.

They have good variety of cupcakes but wow are they small! Tiny little cupcake for $2.95! I had the Grasshopper one and it was ok. The icing had a chemical taste. I've had better tasting ones out of a box. On top of the overpriced cupcakes, they charge fee to use a credit card for payment. NOT WORTH IT!!!

I’ve always had good service and food at Ryke’s. The baked goods have always been delicious, and although I’ve always gotten the dessert items it’s been great quality and prices each visit. It’s a great addition to the Holland bakery scene.

They now try to pass off refrigerated day-old donuts as fresh and charge the price of fresh donuts.
I stopped by to get a couple donuts just after they opened. I saw the trays on the display and saw that they looked pretty picked over and assumed that people before me picked up donuts for the office or something like that. I ordered the donuts I wanted and left. Upon grabbing one of my donuts out of the bag, I noticed that it was cold as though it had just come out of a refrigerator. Also, the frosting had the dry consistency of day-old frosting.
I don't believe that I will be returning, as it seems that the quality as DROPPED over the past couple of years.
This used to be my go-to place for donuts!

This is a wonderful/ quaint donut shop. Locally owned and reasonably priced. Service was awesome at 7 am. Thank you for the 2 dozen donuts/ doughnuts..!!! The bear claws were fantastic; the staff loved them.
