The burgers and salads are delicious. However, the fish dishes are consistently dry.
The service is always good. The atmosphere is pleasant.
They sometimes get a long seating list with 45+ minute waits, especially on the weekends. They only allow a few reservations and prioritize walk-ins so bias towards eating a little early or late if it's the weekend.

My friends and I rented the private room here for a Christmas party and chose the $55 two-course meal for our group of 20. We also ordered drinks, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. Several of us ordered the ribs, which were just okay, but the carrots were severely undercooked. The included salad was plain and uninspired, making the meal feel far from worth the $55 price.
When the bill arrived, we were hit with unexpected fees, bringing the cost to about $98 per person—a shocking amount for a meal that felt more like a $30 value. To make matters worse, we realized that the regular menu offered the exact same dishes for significantly lower prices. It’s frustrating to think that bringing in such a large group resulted in inflated costs rather than any sense of appreciation or value.
Overall, the experience and lack of transparency was disappointing and we will not be returning.

Candid Review of a group dinner in a reserved space -
Summary: overpriced food with an okay atmosphere. Watch out for hidden fees if you rent space.
Food: significantly over priced for the quality of food. Basically a 4 star style meal made with 1 star quality food and flavor. Charged 55 a plate for meals on the menu that were listed 10-25 dollars less expensive.
Service: Great waiter. No complaints there. The primary problem with the service is the hidden fees. After upcharging our food, they included 40 dollars worth of hidden costs per person (20 people total).
Atmosphere: dark, dimly lit, somewhere inbetween Hops and Butches. Not worth the money.

Nice atmosphere, we had a reservation and were seated quickly. It was very busy and pretty loud but still enjoyable. We ordered the lump crab rangoons, the bone in porkchop and the brown-sugar salmon. We loved the Rangoons, they were delicious and nice large size with just a slightly spicy sauce. The salmon was excellent and perfectly cooked, it normally comes with brussels sprouts but they gladly substituted it for sweet carrots instead. The reason for only 4 stars is because the pork chop dish was just ok.. it was on the dry side and it felt like it was missing salt. The plate kind of lacked diversity. It was just meat and hash. The hash supposedly had bacon which wasn’t found in the dish and could not taste it flavor wise either. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Would definitely come back.

Don’t trust that your reservation will be honored here. They cancelled on us last-minute and made a substitute reservation for the wrong day. Very unreliable.

This place has wonderful food & beverages. A welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. If you have a bigger party, calling ahead for reservations, especially during dinner & busier times, is encouraged.

My short ribs were fabulous! The waitress was great and fun! My friend had the bone in pork chop but we felt it was over cooked - little too tough. My other friend had the filet which was wonderful although quite small. We were celebrating a milestone birthday so the atmosphere was cool and for a fun celebration.

Incredible short ribs and incredible service! The goat cheese, mushroom dip, appetizer, and the bread pudding were also incredible. We absolutely loved our time here. I will say that the whitefish was a little bit bland, but the other food made up for it.

Salads were delicious. We were served within 10 minutes. The prices were higher than Google recommendations indicated. The food on the menu looked delicious. Kind of noisy, even in the room in back by restroom.

I seek independent restaurants because I typically get a better experience. I can't say this was the case today.
On a quiet Saturday afternoon with 1/3 of the tables occupied, it too 55 minutes from being seated to the arrival of our food. The entree arrived incorrect, and given the time it took to arrive, I just took what I got. We found the entrees to be a bit over-flavored and couldn't really taste the protein.
The setting is great, a wonderful bar line up, but I didn't expect the delays in an off-season to be so extreme.

Very good food; excellent flavours, beautifully displayed. But very slow service. Everything was slow; Drinks took 20 minutes, appetizer another 15, main course another 20. Casual is one thing, this was just slow.

Had walleye for the first time and it was very good as a piccata dish. The server wasn't great though.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and found what we were looking for. The salmon cakes were tasty although a little bit too salty, and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was prepared well but the hot sauce was a little bit on the hot side. Recommend getting that on the side. All in all a nice lunch, worth the visit.
