After a long drive from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, we stopped in Holland for the night and I’m so glad HappyCow led us to Tamales Plus! Not only did they have vegan options, they had a whole vegan menu—a rare and delightful find.
We ordered the vegan tamales, rice, and beans (all vegan and delicious!), plus chips with mild salsa and hot sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The agua frescas were the perfect refreshment—especially the hibiscus & jamaica and the pineapple & cucumber varieties.
The place itself is small and cozy with great energy, and the people were absolutely lovely. If I lived in Holland, this would hands-down be my go-to spot. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, homemade Mexican food with solid vegan options! 🌱🌮

Came Back here because last time both lady’s were super friendly today the service was just the opposite but I think it had to do with the guy not being friendly or washing hands before helping me especially since he was in the Back also made the girl less friendly who helped me last time that was the reason for the two stars today at tamales plus did note even say we have more vegetarian items or even vegan especially the guy who was not friendly at all so never ate just left
I wanted to say how amazing the food was here. It’s a small family owned restaurant that makes some absolutely delicious food…! They made the best tacos I’ve ever had. I highly recommend eating here.
Very clearly marked vegan items and a good variety as well. Everything was great, but loved the vegan tamales!

First time stopping here with friends last weekend and trying a few things. Their beans were really good. Rice was good but could use a little more flavor. Tamales were good, and you HAVE to try their fish tacos. OMG, so freaking good. I see myself stopping in to try other things they have to offer.

This place knows flavor! We are from out of town and just wanted good comfort food. The rice and beans were flavor packed and the pico de gallo was BALANCED. The tamales were top tier and the salsas were 10/10
