Would strongly recommend Upriver Pizza. Incredible pizza and service. We tried the Detroit style. Some of the best we’ve ever had. We ordered the food to go, but grabbed a drink and sat down at a table. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They grabbed a high chair for our toddler without us asking and checked in regularly. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside and inside, but after a short while you feel right at home. Finally found a spot that nails both styles! I started with a New York slice topped with grilled chicken and olives—you can tell the chicken is cooked fresh and not that rubbery frozen stuff. They also have a killer Detroit-style deep dish pepperoni that was absolutely phenomenal.
