Amazing meal! Everything was great, and portions were generous. The smothered chicken was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the fettuccine sauce was house made and delicious. Cheese curds were yummy. I'm still thinking about the smashed Yukons (mashed potatoes), they were sooo good! Five stars!
The restaurant is located in the renovated old train depot and has a nice historical vibe. It is also on the level of the lakeshore drive and broadwalk offering an excellent view of the Portage lake from its terrace. I was on my way to another restaurant but was immediately attracted to this location and changed my mind. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Local beer was good and food was B+
First time trying this restaurant. I ordered the fried green tomatoes, salad with balsamic dressing and the flat iron steak with grits and seasonal veggies. The kitchen was out of grits (I came in shortly before close) and I had them sub onion rings. I ordered my steam medium rare and it was more towards medium rare. The server, Holly, offered to have the chef remake it, but the seasoning was on point and I was hungry, so I declined. The cornmeal coated onion rings and fried green...
