It's just...well, it's not the beer. This place has a reputation for not hiring locals, nor do they support local music.
As a local? It's not only off-putting, but a poor use of resources. And if you're looking for a bar experience? This isn't it.
They clearly haven't built this place for us.
Just buy their beer somewhere else and stay home - it's cheaper, and the environment is better.
Great prices for great beer. I am not really big on beer at all, but the Widowmaker is not only stomacheable, but is actually good.
I highly recommend whenever you pass through to pick up a brew or two.
The selection of drafts should cover any beer taste preferenece. Fair prices. Only draw back....No food, but there are many choices close by.
Best place to grab a pint in the entirety of the United States!
My favorite place in Houghton. Amazing beers and good prices and beautiful view. If you don't have time to sit down and enjoy it. They also have mixed pack cans of popular beers. Highly recommended!!
Love the new blueberry beer. The wait time is always quick even if they are busy. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The beer is brewed with love for sure.
They had one wheat beer I liked.
Killer brewery in a awesome little town in the Upper Peninsula of Northern Michigan.
I'm a Canadian that's been drinking their beer for many years and have yet to have a bad brew!
The Pick Axe Blonde and Red Ridge are my personal favorites. The Blood Orange notes in the Red Ridge make it so damn refreshing. The Pick Axe is a light, goes with anything type beer, easy drinking and not heavy!
Do yourself a favor and have a pint or two at the brewery in Houghton, the Keweenaw Peninsula is amazing in autumn 🍂
I love your beer and every trip up from southern Wisconsin we always stop and also buy six packs while there. I’m wondering if there is someone I can email/contact off of here to discuss some beer I picked up at pats foods in Hancock on saturday the 26th? There are some things that you should know
I recently visited the Keweenaq Brewing Company at 408 Shelden Ave, in Houghton, MI. It's a beautiful bar with beautiful views on the exterior patio. I made several visits to this place while I was there over a two week period. The service was very good and they had a great variety of their in house made beer. Parking was ok at the times I went but I could see so w issues in prime time

Husband said beer was good. Weird vibe though. We came in on a Sunday- two younger ladies were bartending, no greeting, no smiles, nothing. They looked pretty bored. There was only 3 other patrons in at the time. We chose a table to sit at; husband ended up walking up to the bar to order. No offerings of water or anything. Was just strange-practically silent in the bar. Maybe it’s a better atmosphere on other days of the week.
Great place to share a pint with colleagues and friends.
Best small brewery.
Local delicious beer at a local delicious price... Need I say more?
Three level brewery right on the water. They have great indoor AND outdoor seating overlooking the water. I loved it here! You can bring our own sandwich in if you wanted something to eat. Staff was nice. They weren’t too busy and good pricing.
