Pilgrim Steakhouse was a terrific time and I would recommend it to anybody passing through Houghton. I’d describe the dress code as casual - after coming out of an Isle Royal backpacking trip and endeavoring to put on collared shirts, it was really not necessary. Our waiter, Billy, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and just a light in the room. I ordered the prime rib, my companion had the NY strip. My prime rib was fantastic, and I would recommend it above all other dishes....
I've been here multiple times. I liked the food I got which was the chicken hogie. Decorations of all the animals should go since it ruins my experience there. Other than that the place is good, I like that the lights are dimmed and not so bright. Sometimes the servers are slow to attend to you though.
Food was okay, but nothing special therefore, overpriced. Speed of service was pitifully slow. The TV ad showed tablecloths on tables and appeared to be fine dining. In reality, paper placemats, inadequate lighting, very small tables. I won't go back.
