We used to love Roy's. They even catered our wedding and made many a birthday cake. But recent interactions have left such a bad taste in my mouth, I don't think there's any going back. My mother in law ordered pasties to be sent to her brother out in Maryland, and they were ruined by the time they got there because of post office delays. My MIL called and asked what could be done and was ignored for weeks. Only when she called again and offered to pay for shipping (AGAIN I might add, since the original order involved her paying for shipping to begin with) did they agree to send a replacement. Again the ordered was ruined by post office delays. My MIL was not offered a refund of any kind for either situation, so now she's paid for pasties and shipping x2 only for no edible product to be delivered. When she contacted Roy's about this after the 2nd failed ship, she was told that it was all on the post office and they (Roy's) weren't going to do anything about it. As a business, how do you not have insurance on your shipping and how is this not illegal? I feel ashamed for this establishment and will not be spending my money here again.

The Turkey cranberry pasties taste just like Thanksgiving. Delicious.

I went here for sandwiches and waited 30 minutes and nothing. When I went and asked again they said they would start them and then still nothing. The staff was rude to me and my father and the experience was quite disappointing.

The coffee here sucks! The pastries don't have fillings where appropriate, and the staff is more interested in tips than service. Dunkin Donuts leaves Roy's in the dust!

Guy who took our order was not fit to be working. Did not enter our food right when we ordered. Employees were using their hands and fixing their hair while working.

Nice assortment of delicious pastries and bread. Pasties and sandwiches are excellent. However, the staff behind the counter we encountered during a couple recent visits were extremely rude. During one morning, we ordered a breakfast sandwich but one of the very rude girls behind the counter said she’d prefer not to make it because it takes too much time and there were other customers waiting, so we purchased a pre-made item. At a lunch visit the guy working the counter was not only very unfriendly but was openly coughing over and around the food and prep area. It takes so little effort to be polite and pleasant, but I also realize that it’s hard to find quality people who want to work these days, putting the owners in a tough position.

I still gave Service a 5... Because of the hustle from the Young Lady trying to manage the front of the Bakery...

We picked up an order for 2 loaves of caraway rye bread sliced... Went in at appointed time approximately 2pm... I was the first one in line and when the Young lady came out from the back of the shop... I told her that I was there for the Rye bread...
She told me I would have to wait until she made a sandwich...
By the time she got it done, there was a line going out the door...
She went and got the bread... But it wasn't sliced and ready to go...
By the time she got my order taken care of... Approximately 15 minutes later, I was going out the door,
And people were standing in line outside the entrance now...

I don't think 1 Very hard working girl can cover the counter by herself...
Please give her some help!...?

I'm very patient... But I don't know about all the people that were still waiting in line...?

Other than that... Awesome Caraway Rye Bread!!!....?
