Moreso than the sushi, I recommend the hot entrees like the Curry Tonkotsu or the Teriyaki Salmon. Best food in Houghton, no contest. The atmosphere is also very charming, though you should hope that nobody at the other tables has a loud mouth because you'll be hearing every word of their conversation.

Me and the gangsters I’m traveling with pulled up hungry and started going crazy on the menu. First thing that smacked was the Crazy Roll — and I ain't even playing, that thing was straight fire. Flavor on point the whole way through.
Then the miso soup came out and that joint was extraordinary. Not that weak little soup you get sometimes — this one actually had flavor....

Completely unexpected gem! I never thought I would find good sushi back in my hometown after years of living away, but this is it. I've traveled extensively and rarely had sushi this good.
The place is neat and stylish. It's clean and smells good. The staff is friendly and efficient. The menu is fantastic.
