Eating at wads started to feel like they sucked the nutrients out of food. The only good thing was that I could always find pickles at the sandwich station

Food is nearly inedible; Chartwell's has ruined the eating experience at Michigan Tech.
They claim that lunch closes at 2, but they consistently close 30min - 1 Hour early, the allergy safe food section pretty commonly misses or cross contaminates food, leading to easily avoidable allergic reactions. I have had many, MANY, pieces of very raw chicken, or horribly overcooked food. The drink machines are consistently broken, or horribly un-calibrated to the point where the ginger ale tastes like toothpaste, or carbonated drinks are completely flat. Most recently, they've been lukewarm, flat, and underflavored; and the ice machines only work every once in a while. The orange juice tastes expired, and the milk dispensers are empty more than they're full.

There are constant issues in this dining hall, but hey, good thing they decided to renovate it again for the 2nd time in the last 2-3 years! (Not that it matters, there's moldings that are coming up, and a lot of the banisters are unfinished).

If you've ever wondered what it's like to eat a culinary cry for help, look no further. This dining hall is less 'dining' and more 'despairing.' The turkey burgers? They taste like existential dread pressed between two stale buns and are more common than Mechanical Engineers on campus. The Philly cheesesteaks? I've seen more appealing roadkill. And don't even get me started on the 'mystery mush' that occasionally makes an appearance. I'm pretty sure it's sentient. My therapist now charges extra for 'post-dining hall trauma.' One star, and that's only because the fire alarm added a little spice to the otherwise flavorless experience. Would rather eat my own shoe. At least I'd know where it's been

It's food, not terrible, but not great. Boring atmosphere as well, like eating in a 70s office space.

Better than I expected for dorm food. Cooking is pretty hit or miss depending on the day; the pizza ranges from limp and tasteless to pretty solid. The fries are amazing. The salad bar is pretty consistently great variety-wise and the lettuce is always fresh. The dessert options are pretty good as well, with soft serve, cookies, and cake available.

Try to avoid Wads dining hall during peak times (12-1pm and 5-6pm) unless you want to wait in line and deal with shortages of silverware, bowls, and plates. I anticipate that this will improve once McNair's dining hall finally opens, though.

The food was pretty decent during orientation, as soon as the semester started it took a dive. If they can mess somthing up they will (usually under cooked chicken)

you have to show up at 4:15pm and wait until 4:30 (when they start serving) because the food runs out by 5:00pm and if you get there at 4:30 you'll be in line the whole time. everything they serve is too dry to swallow without drinking water simultaneously. 0 stars

Alright food, will get the job done. Still haven't had the courage to try their country fried steak. Good variety of food, not good quality, overall quite convenient.Good staff but understaffed, and one day they had a circus theme goin on and played clown music on loop, so I especially felt bad for them.

I’m surprised that it’s even legal to serve food this bad. Mold, grease, and salt are the most common flavors here. Every time I come here I regret it soon after. Avoid this place at all costs. Keep in mind that they have the same budget for every meal, so the “real food”(not chicken strips) is going to be of the worst quality imaginable. I’d rate 0 stars if I could.
