My husband and I really want to like Aberrant, but the portions are small and the service is TERRIBLE. We had to specifically ask for plates and napkins for our appetizer. We asked for 5 waters and received 4. When our meal came we had to ask for silverware. Basic fundamental service overlooked. We have given this restaurant 4th & 5th chances and they always disappoint. It's too bad, because the beer is good.

The space is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that makes it ideal for catching up with friends or just enjoying a laid-back evening. The staff here truly go above and beyond friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile and great recommendations.
But let’s talk about the food it’s phenomenal! Whether you’re going for classic pub fare or something a little more unique, everything pairs perfectly with their amazing craft beer selection. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell they take pride in both their brews and their food. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s easily one of my favorite spots!

Not so great. Service was really bad today and the food was subpar. I had the Carnitas and the beef was very dry. My Sister had a salad, which was good except for the chicken was a little dry as well. My biggest complaint was the service. We walked in and the waitress was on the phone behind the bar and made eye contact with me numerous times. She stayed on the phone for longer than what I would feel was acceptable. When she came to get our drink orders, she said they did not have tea or coffee and then with a snarky attitude said, “this is a brewery“. So what?! They can have coffee or tea. We waited quite a bit for our meal, which, as I mentioned above was not great. This was my second visit, hoping to feel better than the last visit.

The menu is small but good choices. We had the best chicken nachos I've ever had. My wife and I devoured them. All the toppings were extremely fresh. Their own chips. The chicken was shredded so it wasn't processed. Covered with a queso sauce that was the best I've had. Our waitress Isabelle was the best. On top of everything, very friendly. It has craft beers, plenty and cocktails. Very clean and fast service. Definitely go there again.

Aberrant Ales is my absolute favorite restaurant in Howell. Food is great, beers are outstanding (try the Cream Ale or Natural Aphrodisiac) and the service is phenomenal. I haven’t had a bad experience there yet, and I’ve been a regular for six years. Great people and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yeeeeees! This place is great. The music, the food and the unique beer offerings. We were bringing in the 80s so we love the vibe of this place. The music is what I listened to in high school. Their biscuits n gravy is on point. The beermosa was a nice touch. The Mrs got a slushie, it was actually really good. Great service and fast! We will be back!
I ordered the fish tacos. They were surprisingly good. I'd definitely recommend!
