I suggest you look elsewhere if you are looking for a tasty and nicely decorated cake. I would describe Tracys baking skills to be amateur at best. Her business and communication skills are also lacking. My experience with this business turned out to be unnecessarily stressful, extremely disappointing and a complete waste of $50.00. Tracy had made several suggestions about how she would decorate the cake, none of which were done. The cake looked nothing like I was expecting. We had a number of people at a birthday party that were very surprised at how amateurish the cake was decorated. After tasting it we decided that it was not eatable and throw the entire cake in the trash. The day I was scheduled to pick up the cake I had to text Tracy about when and how I could pick it up. She did respond but told me that she had left for work and that there was no way that I would have access to the cake. It took over 3 hours to resolve this situation. When I was finally able to pick up the cake it was in a garage in a cooler. There was no face to face interaction.

I'm not at all one to leave reviews like this but it feels necessary. Beyond unprofessional. With customer service and with the cake I had recieved. I do not recommend their services whatsoever. They don't own up to their mistakes, they don't reply within reason, they don't own up to or apologize for anything. I highly advise going with someone else that can actually make a decent cake. I promise you walmart's looked better than what I had recieved. I was so excited about getting a cake made and supporting local only for it to be a complete disaster.Editing to add since business owner made a comment:The owner had set that price themselves, I had no issue with paying more or paying less. It took well over an hour after agreed upon pick up time to confirm where location actually was.Completely cordial until upon receiving cake that was "made." I would upload a photo but won't due to privacy. Business owner placed blame on me as the client about quality of imagery and how faded the print itself was, yet nothing was brought up until after I recieved the cake and expressed being severely disappointed. My request was a very simple one, as I did realize they were helping me out when I was having difficulty locating somewhere that could print the image.The image itself was not attached to the cake at all, fortunately that worked in my favor as I could move it onto a different cake and salvage what I could. The business owner stepped outside of the request and added messy decor they took upon themselves to add. No mention to me of any of this to me. The cake looked awful. I did not want to have a very disappointed young child that was looking forward to this cake for over a month. I did not want to see such a heartbreak.Business owner made zero attempts of ownership of mistakes, apologizing, or even attempting to rectify.You may have done a "favor" but I was still a paying client. Not anymore, lessons learned. Keep my money. Good luck to your business and to anyone that considers purchasing from you. I hope no else has the experience I had.

Way overpriced boxed cakes. *Edit to your reply - no, this is the right place. Right on Lake Chemung. Your employee showed me a picture of the Betty Crocker and Pillsbury cake mixes you use for the "homemade" cakes. Shame on you.
Although the cake tasted very good. It was 3 hours late from the agreed upon time and it was not the design style I had requested either. There was also no offer for compensation for my husband having to drive out twice for the cake.EDIT: I asked on May 2nd if it could be picked up on the 20th and your response was no problem. When my husband arrived you had not even started the cake and did not seem to know what he was talking about. Giving him the excuse of lack of help and distributor issues. The cake was supposed to be ready at noon and when my husband came back at 3:30 you were finishing it up. The pictures I sent were of highland cows and my cake is a barn cow, nothing alike.

I stopped by the Back Road Bake Shed this morning to pick up a cake I ordered for my son’s birthday. Somehow there was a miscommunication about the pickup date and the cake was not ready when I arrived. The owner SPRUNG into action and made my cake in less then 30 minutes. Because of my wait she gave me a much larger cake to rectify the issue. Now THIS is customer service! We finally got a chance to taste the cake, and let’s just say this… saying it tastes AMAZING is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Absolutely phenomenal bakery with a fantastic owner/staff. A MUST try!

I seen the article on Tracy’s bakery in the Livingston County Press and thought her stuff sounded really creative and really tasty so I contacted her on whether or not she could make stuff that my son with allergies could eat (a lot of bakeries are reluctant about it). She was on it with no problem whatsoever. We ordered a half dozen of her Mountain Dew cakesicles and they were absolutely delicious. She even offered to decorate them which is something I didn’t even think off. When we picked them up my other son wanted to order some cupcakes for the following weekend. Her shop will probably be a weekly thing for us now. I highly recommend her stuff to anyone who loves baked goods that are not only really good but also creative.
