We have been there several times. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket .
The food is very good with fast service. They have a large seating capacity and we usually get seated quickly. The staff is friendly.
Wife and I both had baby back ribs, they were horrible. Hard as a rock, burnt, tough as heck. Old ribs just lying around, they did replace tho, not much better, Waiter was awesome tho. Come here for the beers, not the food.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We had a great time here tonight. Their food and service is Amazing!
We stopped for lunch on a road trip and it was great! Tender ribs, flavorful brisket, green beans freshly sautéed with garlic and crispy, seasoned sweet potato fries - and a nice variety of good beers. Worth a visit!
Amber was a pleasant bartender, nice beer selection and the beers I tried were good. Some slight issues with the food, but everything was addressed quickly and it was all good. I'm sure I'll be back.
We went in on a slow sunday night, and while we had no problems with service our food was not good at all. Everything was not warm, most of it looked, and felt like it had sat for too long a period of time before getting to our table. The cheese was congealed and had a thick plasticy top layer, while being room temp to like warm at best. Same with the mac and cheese. while other items were straight up cold. We spent 95$ after tipping and left without eating much.
Overpriced for a side of small fries
Great place to stop for dinner. We went with friends and everyone enjoyed their meal.
this place really outdid themselves, stopped in after traveling down for a fishing trip and me and my father really enjoyed the food. It was surprisingly good. I will definitely be coming back many times.
We recently traveled from Tennessee to Michigan to visit family and friends. During a day trip out sightseeing, we were looking for a place to get a bite to eat to start the day.
We saw Block Brewing as we were driving through Howell and thought it looked like an optimal place to stop.
We arrived 10 minutes after they opened, so our party of six was easily able to get a table right away.
Since it was our first time there, our waitress was helpful and patient with us as we browsed both the drink and food menu.
My wife ordered their Tangerine Wheat beer and absolutely loved it. She liked it so much that she inquired about buying it in a six-pack to take with us. Unfortunately, they didn't have that beer available on the day we visited. We did end up buying some beer to take with us, though, including the Guava Vanilla Gose, which actually has a picture of Gozer from Ghostbusters on the can.
As for the food, everything we had was fantastic.
Do yourself a favor and get the Pepper-Jack Crab Soup. It is amazing. My wife and I ended up sharing their chicken tenders for our actual meal. They were excellent. I used the sweet BBQ sauce, one of the four different sauces available on the table, to dip my fries and tenders in. That stuff is spot on.
Our friends both ordered a burger. I now regret not getting one because when they came out, they looked and smelled amazing.
Even my son, who is a picky eater, ate all of his Soft Pretzel sticks.
Most of the items on the menu are pricy, so if you plan to go, keep that in mind. That's not a knock on Block Brewing because the quality of food you get definitely reflects the price.
Again, we arrived right when they opened, so it was a laid-back atmosphere. However, given the size of the place, it could get a little louder as the day progresses.
An excellent experience for us and a place I'd recommend.

This is a place where they do everything they can to accommodate you. I’ve had two company Christmas parties there and they were both A++. Most recently, we had a last minute family get together and they came through with a huge last minute catering order for us.
For casual dining, the food is great and the beer is too. Staff is A+++.
Gave this place yet another try last night hoping for some reason it was better. The only thing decent the bartenders know how to make a drink. Soup was pasty thick and way over salted (cooks taste what your making before allowing it to be served ) !
Daughter didn't care for mac and cheese (dry) and the appetizer fries with queso was just ok not worth 16.00 at all. I think sadly this place is going downhill 😕. (Waitress never even asked how food was makes me think she knew what the answer would of been). Wont be back and won't recommend 😕
Access to website was denied. Too bad. I wanted to see the menu. We'll go someplace else. Guess we'll go to Cleary's. At least I can access their website.
My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at their Howell location in May 2025, and it was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing—10/10! In the days following the wedding, multiple guests told me, “That was the best wedding food I’ve ever had!” Personally, I can’t stop thinking about the mac and cheese and pulled pork.
The atmosphere was great, and the team was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. They responded to all my emails quickly and clearly. Special shoutout to Karen, Lauren, and Keith—they’re organized, professional, kind, and truly dedicated to helping you get your event just right.
For everything included under one roof, we felt the pricing was fair and not at all overpriced. They did a great job breaking down the costs from the start, and there were no hidden fees or last-minute surprises.
Nice place! Our server was great and very helpful with beer selection and food!
Corn bread muffins were amazing, and I thought their texas bbq sauce was spot on! I thought the smoked turkey was well prepared and seasoned!
