UPDATE!! So, now that EVERYONE else has increased their prices, Dave's pricing is fine, plus, you really don't need the two slider meal. That's for people with larger appetites for sure. My female companion always gets one slider with fries, and she's satiated.
The chicken here is still the best. So good, I only get mild, but the flavors are 10/10.
My only complaint at this point is the dining room is physically cold, and has a cold empty ambience to it. They have fun music playing, but the cooks in the kitchen have some kind of completely different music going on a very tinny speaker, that is just noise pollution. I wish they'd turn it off.
Love the food, but it feels very expensive. It seems like they may not stay in business real long, because everytime I've been there, there's only been 2 other customers. Which would be a shame, because the chicken is delicious.... but I suspect it's because it's so expensive. We're talking an easy $15-$17 per person, which is really high for the type of restaurant this is. This type of lunch counter style restaurant, should be around $10 per person.. Even in today's over inflated economy. If you get a 2 slider meal, with cheese, and a soda, you'll be close to $20, for a self serve lunch counter. For two chicken tenders on a bun, with fries. Love your food, but these prices are silliness for a little po-dunk town like Howell.

The food was really good l. I got the chicken sandwich, medium heat. I could have absolutely gone hotter but it was a great starting point. The chicken is seasoned so well, the fries are fresh, hot, and crispy. I could eat here half the week for the lunch!

First time trying Dave’s hot chicken. It was delicious. The seasoning on the chicken, the juiciness, the slaw, it was all fantastic. Service was quick and staff were very friendly.

It was my first time there. However, it took 14 minutes to get my food. That was just sitting at the window. It was an additional 9 minutes from the time I ordered to get to the window. If the attitude of the employee was empathetic, I could overlook it. Clearly it wasn't... not the best time to blame coworkers or management. I was hoping the food would make me forget it but I'm not a fan. Unseasoned chicken drowned in hot sauce. Several better options out there... KFC, Popeyes, Rasing Cane's, Arby's.
The chicken was really good and unlike a lot of Fast Service places, when they say "Hot" they mean it. Got the slider and tender combo, got it Hot and it was great.

I came here for the first time today. Their chicken seasoning was delicious. I almost drove away. I'm glad I didn't! :) definitely coming back again, fries were perfect too.

I tried Dave's Hot Chicken today. I went inside and the store is impressively clean and organized. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even giving me a printed copy of the menu in case the sign board was a bit much.
I ordered the two slider sandwich meal, hot, to split between my husband and I. It came with fries and pickles but no drink. I also ordered the bites with fries, no spice.
The chicken was nice and spicy. It tastes and felt like real chicken (you know what I mean). The fries are savory and a little sweet. The special sauce is good but not spicy. The pickles are delicious.
Overall it is worth the cost. You get a lot of food and it's quality food.
The only negative thing I might say is that the combo doesn't come with a drink but that's not a deal breaker.
