Party of four on a Friday night... every bit of food was fantastic. Highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip for a starter, along with the 1983 pasta, filet tips and scallops. Service was excellent too. Definitely worth checking out for an upscale night.

Oh this place was absolutely awful. Easily the worst steakhouse I've ever been to. I took my partner there for her birthday and it was such a let down. When we got our steaks, they were both extremely overcooked but also cold. It was like eating a hockey puck. And it's so expensive for what you get. I work in the area and brought up this place to my coworkers and we all just went on and on about how awful it is. The waitress was also not that nice. We'll never go back.

Horrible service tonight! It was our first time trying diamonds steakhouse. It was not too busy tonight. Hailey was our waitress, she was smiley and nice when we got seated then after that it went downhill from there. It took 10 minutes to get drinks, refills took forever, she barely checked on us, did not bring us rolls at all. Food was okay. We ordered butter cake for dessert and it was BURNT and tasted like butane. Atmosphere is nice but our waitress did not give us descent service. Other staff members and managers were friendly and made our experience somewhat tolerable.

Cannot comment on the food, only the service or lack thereof. We were the only ones sitting at the bar, we got water promptly and shortly after our sodas. We asked about the menu and we're ready to order but the lady just walked away, not to return. I don't mind waiting, if you're busy. There were 3 tables and us, hardly busy. If it's like this at 1pm, can't imagine how awful the service is at 6pm on a weekend night. Unfortunately, good service seems to be a thing of the past at most places, including here.

Easter Brunch was a set menu and the kitchen whipped up phenomenal gluten free options last minute. So happy our family was able to enjoy our time over an amazing meal!

Easter Buffet. Buffet was totally picked over. No seafood. What little food was there was cold. Food was not impressive. Steak and prime rib was sub par. The Buffet area was poorly kept. Several couples there experiencing the same. Was first time there but won't be back. If this is Merkel restaurants ...... no thanks. Totally not worth the price nor even 10% of price. Terrible

Went for a nice dinner with my husband and left very disappointed. for starters we made reservations at 5:30 on a Wednesday when we arrived. Our table was dirty , seats were also dirty , silverware was nasty‍ . There was only two tables other than ourselves . We ordered crabcakes, the middle was cold. I let that slide because the waitress had not been back to check on us . I could see a group of workers just chatting away . When my scallops and mushrooms came . My scallops looked burned so I asked for another one to be made . Also they were not large sea scallops like they used to be . When my next order came out they brought just the scallops so I had cold burned shrooms and broiled scallops and they gave me sour cream instead of the champagne sauce . At this point I was over it . My husbands mixed grill came out chargrilled completely burned and they made sure to put the burned side down so when it came out it looked fine . It's as if whomever was cooking just completely forgot about our meal . He ordered another and the shrimp and chicken wasn't cooked but burned on just one side again . Before I sent any food back I placed a dinner Togo for our son at home . I also had started dinner with a glass of wine . The manager then came over and apologized saying he was going to comp our entire meals because we were pretty upset and disappointed . I didn't even eat anything but my salad and 1 cold crab cake . My husand ate a few bites and that was it . For being not busy there is no excuse in the world for this kind of service . I also wanted another glass of wine and had to wave down our server due to her chatting with her team members . I ordered two carrot cakes to go . Our bill came it was still over $100 . We left hungry , having to eat elsewhere after spending nearly 2 hours and $100 not to eat . I'm disgusted honestly and it's a shame this place has went completely down hill especially for the prices and quality they say they have . They should just stick with their carrot cake because everything else was not okay . The one star is just for the cake

The Diamonds restaurant of years past had great food, friendly and personable service, and a warm ambiance. After the owners of the original Diamonds restaurant were bought out, the food was just "okay", definitely not great. Prices went up significantly, ambiance was cold, service was stand-off-ish. I won't be back.

We were entertaining our grandson who was visiting from Texas. It was his birthday and he is used to very good restaurants in Austin. It was very busy but we were seated on time. The waitress was super. Never pressured us and the food was wonderful. Guys had ribeye and prime rib. I had crab cakes. Sides were delicious. Even though it was packed we felt we had a private table. We are taking friends back this weekend for another birthday. We live in East Lansing and will be regulars. What a great surprise Diamonds was to all of us!
