Holy shit! The food here is phenomenal! We are from 2 hours north and came down to hit the outlets and stumbled upon this place on Google. So glad we did! We had the calamari, flank steak, and brushetta appetizers, mouth watering! The new york strip and the grilled zucchini was the best I have had! Chef even made an appearance to see how we liked the food! 11 out of 10 this place! Will definitely be back! Great job! Hard to find this caliber of food for the price and service was exceptional!

We walked in with a party of 6. The hostess acted as if I ruined her day. The waiter was inattentive and forgetful. They were out of sprite and covers for kids drinks. They were out of several items on the menu. We went largely ignored while there. It took about 45 minutes for us to get a salad. No bread was served. We had to ask several times for refills. The kids never actually got refills. We couldn't even eat our salads due to the fact they did not have silverware. It took the waiter about 12 minutes of ignoring and bypassing us to tell us of the silverware situation.
My family and I felt a bit insulted so we decided to pay for the drinks and leave.
The waiter did not apologize. He just told me the food was coming out shortly. We spoke with the hostess who contacted the manager.
The manager was nice and professional. She apologized and gave us our drinks for free. Aside from the manager, this place is a joke. An hour I'll never get back.

First visit since new ownership. Many menu choices. Appetizers were good. Burger and fries were too.
Server was OK. Was working alone and had several large after church groups.
Will try again.

Had a dinner here with my beautiful wife thinking that we are going to have a decent sit down meal. When you come in it's decent inside cozy and quaint our waitress seemed to be in over her head and I'm being honest seemed like she was frustrated and upset. But we kept on for our food my steak was shoe leather and my wife's chicken was under cooked. Management came by and had our orders remade on the fly chicken fully cooked steak was cremated. I paid our bill tipped out waitress and went on with the rest of my potato. Won't be back here anytime soon

We called to place a take out order and a woman answered the phone. I asked her what was in the chicken piccata and she rushed through explaining it, then I let her know we were going to place an order for takeout. She said "ugh, can you hold a minute I have 3 other people placing orders." I said yeah that's fine we are good to wait. Then when she came back I started placing the order and she said do you want soup salad or Cole slaw, on the website it showed sides of fries available and baked potatoes etc. so I asked her if those sides weren't available and she repeated you get a soup salad or Cole slaw and I said ok can I have a minute? She then very loudly and long sighed into the phone, loud enough that my boyfriend on the other side of the room heard it. We hung up and we will just go somewhere else where it's not such an inconvenience to do their job.

We were in Howell for a medical test at Trinity Health Livingston (which was a good experience) and afterward, we wanted lunch. Firewood Grill was a great choice! Excellent customer service. We shared a calamari appetizer - YUM! My Greek salad with grilled salmon and house-made Greek dressing was exquisite! The dill seasoning was a perfect compliment to the salmon. My husband had the pulled pork quesadilla -- the cook brought out the house-made chipotle BBQ sauce to try. My husband LOVED it. He didn't even use the salsa or sour cream. Highly recommend! Sidney was a great server.
Dietary restrictions: Saw on the menu that gluten free buns were available.

Firewood Grill is old and tired. The paper menu looks like it went through a war and lost. The spicy chicken sandwich had no spice. The chicken was paper thin and dry. Side salad was decent. Child's sliders were pretty good. Children's pasta and chicken was adult sized portion and decent. Bread was cold, late and the butter was frozen. Server never gave me her name. Plates and cups were never bussed. I wasn't offered a refill on my soft drink. Menu is uncreative and food quality is bottom end Sysco.
Parking: One way, narrow, not enough of it.

The server was lovely, the halloween decorations were adorable, but the food was godawful. I got the spicy fried chicken sandwich, and it was bland, overcooked, and the fries that came with were oily and soggy. We waited 40 minutes for that and a salad on a night where there were only 3 other tables there.
