Really good coffee and their sea salt chocolate chip cookie was prolly one of the best cookies I've ever had in my entire life. Just wish they had a few more food items. Other then that, def worth trying sometime!

Haven't been here since it was Uptown, where I spent most of my afternoons after school when I was younger. Atmosphere, coffee and pastry were all excellent. Highly recommend!!

They have a really nice, cute area for kids and it’s cute and cozy inside. The two times I’ve been so far the coffee tastes a little burnt, I got an ice latte in the summer and just got a hot latte now - I t’s still overall a good cup of coffee and I’m going to continue to come back and support local!

Latte meets Cappuccino.

I went to this coffee shop, not once, not twice, but three days in a row to get what I deem as the greatest coffee combination of the season. Not only are you getting a cup of caffeination which will give you the energy you need to go shopping all morning for the holidays (you're welcome), but you also get this smooth velvety peppermint mocha (not too sweet) with some cappuccino foam which in my eyes is the perfect combination of a coffee drink.

Aslynne made my drink, which essentially made my day which is why I'm posting this review.

If you can handle the caffeine, love a drink not too sweet, and want to take your coffee ordering to the next level, you must ask for:
-16 oz hot Latte (the source doesn't have to moo for it to be milk but I preferred whole milk)
-4 shots espresso
-Half sweet with peppermint mocha (Tis the season)
-Cappuccino foam on top.

And if you're reaaallllllyyyy lucky, Aslynne will be there to make it for you.

Again, you're welcome.

The warmth of this coffee spot is pronounced through and through! I had a latte on each of my two visits- vanilla bourbon and pumpkin spice. They were creamy, tasty, and drinkable by temperature! Exactly what I expected to find in a niche little town corner coffee shop! The pastries are amazing and the merch enticing! I’ll be back, on my monthly trips!

Our favorite local coffee shop! My husband and I frequent good sense. Each time we are greeted with a smile & a warm welcome. The barista Heather is the best and always recognizes us when we come in.

They have a good variety of coffee selection to choose from with rotating seasonal flavors. We love the almond milk lattes in their big mugs. There is a nice area for you to sit and relax. The kids corner is perfect for little ones! A lot of time we come in to sit and work on our computers & it’s very welcoming to that. We also love that good sense is so involved with the community.

Highly recommend giving them a visit!

Love this place! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Gotta try their pour overs, you can taste the quality in the beans that Ian and his team roast themselves! Highly recommend

I paid over $6 for a hot maple latte coffee. It was one of their specials. She couldn't figure out how to work the register. It took 2 of them 5 minutes to get it to work. They were super nice and friendly. It was very disappointing after the wait that the coffee was cold. I had to heat it up in the microwave at work (which half of it boiled over). It never seemed to get hot. It was really a waste of money. The only saving grace was how polite they were.

Everything here is A+ except for the most important thing- the coffee. This coffee shop has an excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, clean bathrooms. It's a great place to sit and study or relax or hang out or read a book.

However, at the end of the day, a coffee shop will be judged on its coffee.

I ordered a latte here. I paid a premium price for it, and I was disappointed at the temperature. It was barely warm. Coffee should be served much hotter than this.

Damn fine cup of coffee, Diane. Whether ordering classic offerings or inventive flavors, Good Sense emulates its name flawlessly.

The service here is warm without being patronizing, polite without being standoffish. You order and it’s out in a heartbeat. Staff is always happy to resolve any concerns — so I’ve heard! I haven’t had any problems here.

Beautiful space, somehow even when it’s wildly busy I’ve been able to get a seat, no problem. I think there’s a wizard in the back conjuring chairs. I come here and feel welcomed by the decor, the people, the atmosphere. A far cry from the sterile, “get-the-hell-out” vibes at the green, two-finned monster. And the coffee, again, damn good.

They’ve added breakfast sandwiches. While they’re simple little stacks of bread-cheese-sausage-egg, they’re pretty good. I think you can only expect positives coming from this lovely little shop.

The only changes I’d be happy to see: Larger ice cubes in the iced drinks, as-is they’re a little too small and slip through the slot in the cup, and hotter sandwiches. A couple times I’ve gotten the sandwich, it was lukewarm. Didn’t make it harder to eat though ;)

(Aside: My first encounter with Good Sense was during the pandemic. 2020 or ‘21. Their coffee truck was stationed in one of the endless empty parking lots between Howell and Genoa Township. I was late for work and stopped anyway — sorry, boss — and it was well worth flirting with a reprimand. The coffee and staff were amazing, even all those years ago.)

I was disappointed they didn't have friendly vegan food options.
