We had dinner on Saturday the 17th at about 4:45. We were seated immediately and were then greeted by our waitress Carrie. She explained the specials and took our drink orders. For an appetizer we had the cheeses potabello mushrooms caps. They were phenomenal. We then ordered our meals, the lobster bisque soup and ahi tuna for myself, and the black and blue sirloin with broccoli and a side salad for myself husband. ALL of the food was delicious. Carrie was very attentive and sooo friendly. We will definitely return. A+ on all counts

We were traveling and did a Google search for a restaurant near Howell; well Google took us a little out of our way. It's not in Howell it's in Hartland for anyone else doing a search. Our service was good, she was friendly and was quick on drink refills. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and my boyfriend ordered the fish tacos. They looked good, but they had issues. We both commented on how cold the tortilla was, it was COLD like they were stored in the fridge. The waitress asked how everything was and I mentioned that the tortillas were cold. She said that they didn't have a way to warm them up. What kind of kitchen doesn't have means to warm up a tortilla? My shrimp taco had three pieces of shrimp and 1 or 2 small pieces of pineapple and a LOT of lettuce on the bottom to make it look big. The shrimp was good by itself, but not on a very cold tortilla and a bunch of lettuce. They also charge to use a credit/debit card. This restaurant might be good for something other than tacos, but we were unsatisfied with our meal.

Joe, Yvonne, and their team go the extra mile, every time. When you go to Mackle’s, you can expect great food, service, and ambiance. This place cares deeply about the patrons that come through it. The true testament, however, is that most of the employees have been with Joe for a long time, which speaks to the level of care and understanding he has for treating his employees with respect, kindness, and compassion. Support local, dine at Mackle’s.

I haven't had a bad meal there yet! And I'll keep going back. The service is excellent. My waitress was Tyla. She was very attentive and super friendly. I'll keep asking for her section.

People have been telling us to go here for a while, so we finally did yesterday for lunch.
Restaurant is cute. Seems kinda old timey, which is interesting for the location. Not bad just unexpected. Nice. Cute.
Got our drinks, fine. Ordered an app: truffle fries, fine. Tons. Huge plate of fries! The balsamic was an interesting touch. No salt or pepper to speak of, thankfully there was some on the table. Ordered food: started with the Caesar salad. Tastes exactly how I would have made it at home. Everything tasted store bought. Croutons were 100% from the bag. Honestly it was fine, but it wasn’t exciting or new or fresh, it was safe. Tossed well. It was fine. Lobster roll. Delicious. A+. Super filling. Could prob use a bigger roll because it’s messy, but otherwise, great! Chicken club. Fine. This is where I had the biggest issue. The menu described it as “chicken breast, provolone, applewood bacon, and a sun dried tomato pesto mayo.” I’m allergic to tomatoes, so I just asked for regular mayo instead of the sun dried fancy stuff. Sandwich came out with big slabs of juicy tomatoes, and while the presentation was pretty, I’m allergic to tomatoes so I can’t just pick them off (honestly no one should have to pick things off anything at a restaurant). The server took prob 10-15 min to come check on us. They remade the sandwich and it was fine, just kinda stunk to have to wait again. Also sucked for my husband because he is polite and waits til my food is there to start eating. It’s fine. Also not a fan that pickles were put on the plate with no barrier. I know it’s probably shocking to some, but not everyone likes pickles. And without the knowledge that it would be there (it isn’t listed on the menu), I couldn’t ask them to leave it off. The sandwich was actually wonderful, and SUPER filling, just disappointing that the menu didn’t reflect accurate toppings. Overall I think we will be back, especially now that we know what to expect.

Absolutely everything on their menu is delicious. Truffle fries, the best I've ever had. The boursin smash burger...drool worthy. Short ribs grilled cheese was mouth watering.
