We get takeout from here and the tacos are AMAZING. I crave them more often than I should.

I had the most wonderful, warm out of the oven Rhubarb Custard Pie. It was amazing! Our tacos were superb as well.

Awesome homemade Mexicali food. This is the real comida I miss from Texas. Thanks for the best meal in Howell.

The best part about Mexicali & More is how consistently good it is!! I get the Las Banderas as a vegetarian and enjoy it so much. My spouse constantly gets new dishes and enjoys them all. We tried the churro tres leches cake tonight, too, and all I can say is DELICIOUS! Could eat here every night if possible. Possibly could because it is also very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food you receive.

Fantastic food and great service with a smile!!! I’m sad that we waited so long to give it a try!

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and my daughter and I stopped in last night to try the taco special they have on Tuesdays. When we walked in, we weren't really greeted. The waitress from afar said "Just the two of you?", we said yes and she pointed to a table against the wall. We ordered 2 tacos each and that was all. There were 3 other tables already seated when we got there. One was two tables pushed together by the kitchen with I would guess 8 people total (adults and kids). They were already done eating or close to it. I am assuming this was family of the owners because the young children kept running in and out of the kitchen and register/bar area and the adults were helping themselves to drinks, etc. They were using the restaurant as their play area and it was quite distracting to have to listen to it. There was another table of 4 that also had their food already and another table of 2 that were waiting for their food. We were there for a half hour and still no tacos. At that point, I was fed up with listening to the kids run around and not having our food and told her to cancel my order. The entire time, the older waitress was less than welcoming and acted like we were an inconvenience. Not a good experience and will not be returning. The food could be phenomenal but it doesn't matter if the service is terrible.

Overall good experience. I wish there was bottled hot sauce available, it was the only thing that would have made my meal better. They were very busy and short on staff so wait times were a little long but staff was very friendly and helpful! They were definitely working hard!!! The decor was a little lacking.I'd go back but it's probably not going to be my go to Mexican joint.

Really fantastic food. If you are looking for a mexican food restaurant and you haven't tried this one, you have no idea what you are missing out on! Must try for sure.
