This place is a hidden gem in howell in a dumpy strip mall. they have high quality fish and meats available. The staff is awesome. prices are pretty good and worth it for the quality. They sell sashimi tuna steaks which are hard to find and i love them

It's hard to find good sushi grade seafood. So it's nice to have a place close to home that carries it! 10/10

We go to Oceanside almost every week for our fresh and frozen seafood needs. The Faroe Island Salmon is a great quality. The staff is incredibly nice. Always sweet to my nephews when they are with me. And even better they skin the fish for me when I ask! Thank you Oceanside seafood for being a great community business

Recently heard about their mobile seafood market. Yesterday I drove 20 minutes to Mecosta, waited an hour without the truck ever showing up. Called the store in Howell multiple times while waiting. They confirmed the truck was on their way and probably running late due to weather. Finally gave up and left (along with a dozen or so other vehicles throughout that time) after an hour. Called the store once I was home and they said there was a “scheduling mix up” and they won’t be back in Mecosta until next month. I understand mistakes happen, but this date and time (1/14/25 12-2pm) were on their website for over a month and Facebook page for over a week prior. I made plans specifically to go make a purchase from them and took time off work to be available during this time. I’m very disappointed and won’t be attempting a purchase from them again. I can’t trust that the dates and times for the locations of their mobile seafood truck are accurate. Sad.

Every product has been worth the money!

We have been long time customers of oceanside seafood in howell and it's always been good. This year we decided to have jumbo crab legs for New Years Eve. We also purchased lobster tail and scallops which tasted great. We spent $250.00 mostly on crab legs.They tasted super fishy , not sweet at all. They were yellow on the inside and dry and stringy. They tasted terrible. We threw most of them away. This is so disappointing.

We ordered sushi and sashimi grade from land locked Montana and the salmon and hamachi was amazing!! Some of the best, cleanest and freshest we've ever had and we're originally from Seattle. The fish had absolutely no smell except a slight clean ocean scent. Was perfect for homemade sushi on Christmas!

Great products and customer service.
We are fortunate to have such a quality place just minutes from home.

Thanks. If I could give a zero rating, I would: Case in point: I just received an order of blue gill fillets the size of my wallet, and the sushi shrimp 30 count looked like a bunch of little pinkie fingers. My wife's Alaska Sockeye salmon was the only two items that looked halfway decent. This is my second and last order with these folks, and I will not refer this company to any of my soldiers here at Fort Moore, Georgia.

Well, today's visit was the final straw. We have been loyal customers of this establishment for the last 3yrs. It has been a struggle the last 6-10 months. It's clear that staff no longer understands seafood and their product. Today I arrived at 445 to pickup a few items for dinner. Everything was already put away. You could not see any product in the cases etc. I asked for 1 pd of salmon cut into 3 equal pieces. Clearly the staff struggled. Also got 6 oysters, one of which was opened when I got home and I pulled it apart with my hands. See photos of quality and treatment, at least give your staff sharp knives to work with. Also, two other customers came in to make purchase in the last 15 min of open hours. It's hard on staff and customers to pick out seafood when you can't see the food!

Ordered walleye and smelt on Monday and it arrived 2 days later in south Florida still frozen. The fish look fresh and cleaned. Thank you for such great service.

Great variety of fish, seasonings, plus a bit of other seafood items.

Been there three times. First time dozen oysters. They were great. Second time six oysters. They were great. Third time six oysters one was rotten and one was the size of a fingernail and the rest of the four were good. Not very pleased

This place is great! A hidden gem of Howell. Friendly knowledgeable staff and great selection, everything I’ve had has been amazing.
