Wow! What a pleasant surprise this place is!! Everything here is made from scratch, and delicious . I ordered- 1) toffee latte- it was delicious. 2) crispy chicken salad, was huge!! And fresh and delicious!! 3) French onion soup- very hearty, full of onions and delicious. 4) caramel cookie cheesecake- HEAVEN- holy goodness, it was amazing!! The staff here is so welcoming and friendly! I love the atmosphere here too. I will be back for sure when I'm in this area! I give them ten stars

This is a great place to get a sandwhich or wrap. They are big portions that are sure to fill you up! They also have burgers and some deserts that are really tasty! Highly recommend. Service has always been great even when short staffed and busy.

Tried their Fish and Chips tonight. Very good! Fish is crunchy and their fries are better than anybody's. Welldone, hand cut,hot. Yum. But the standout of the night was the Rueben Fries! Yowza! Fries covered with Corned beef,sauerkraut,thousand island dressing.DELICIOUS!

Not only does State Side Deli serve out of this world sandwiches, everything we've ever ordered has been fantastic! My absolute favorite sandwich is The Dawn. As you can see I couldn't even wait to take a photo of the whole sandwich. The owner is the friendliest as well, she always has a smile and makes our dining in or out memorable. Their newer location in the front of the 242 church is beautiful. My husband and daughter really love the D-Town Ruben and I agree it's great too. Looking to try something delicious today. Stop by here you won't be sorry, you might just become obsessed like we are.

Food is as good as they claim! Service was good, however, the wait staff called us "you guys" and used the word "we" when the correct grammar is "you." As for the coffee, bring your own. No flavor, weak. Better beans would solve the problem.

We used to go to State Side Deli when they were located in Howell east of Latson Rd and Grand River by Los Tres Amigos.The sandwich offerings have dropped dramatically, but service has diminished beyond generous expectationsI ordered the easiest of sandwiches (the FAMOUS with corned beef and slaw). I place an in-person order at 1234 and was told it would take around 15 minutes to make the sandwich. No problem. However, I inquired about my carryout sandwich at 20, 25, 30 minutes after placing my order. I did observe a couple of cognitively impaired workers during my wait; each employee worked diligently in completing their assigned duties efficiently.The biggest issue I have with the establishment is not the quality of the food, but rather with the service. The food remains tasteful and of high quality, but I can't recommend based on the extremely poor service.I left a 40% tip in hoping my order would come out sooner, but this current thought process did not provide my expected outcome.Unless you order online, do not provide income to this establishment.

I absolutely love this place and think it's some of the best food in Livingston county, possibly the best food for the price range that I've found in Howell. I'm not a vegetarian, but I prefer veggies to meat most of the time, and their veggie wrap is well worth it. Kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, and made to order. Definitely highly recommend the fried pickles, they put fresh dill in the breading and it gives them a really unique taste.. They also have plenty of gluten free options.The staff is friendly and I can't give them enough credit, the restaurant is now located in a church/community center and I honestly don't know how they deal with the stress of working in a restaurant full of loud, overstimulated kids all the time, not to mention dealing with the after-church crowd basically every day.The atmosphere is also very warm and comforting, there is a fire place and plenty of seating, and I was so surprised to find such a high end place inside of a community center. I also like the fact that by supporting this business, I'm helping to support the community center, which is a great resource for stressed parents on difficult snow days.Vegetarian options: While they don't have much in the way of vegetarian food, what they do have is fresh, and very high quality. Those fried pickles are the best I've had.

My Wife and I finally got the chance to try Stateside Deli yesterday.The inside is quite spacious and has a relaxing vibe to it. The hostess working was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I was torn between 3 different sandwiches and based off her opinions, I was able to make an easier selection.I ended up getting the Showtime. The chicken was great, and had no fat to it, the pesto sauce complimented the entirety of the sandwich, and the bacon is absolutely amazing here. The bacon they use is hands down the best around. If I'm not mistaken, the pickles they use are butter pickles. I've never had one before but it complimented the sandwich quite nicely in my opinion.The menu this restaurant has is one of the best I've seen in awhile. Being a picky eater, I was surprised to find that just about every single item on the menu is something I would order.I feel we will be regulars going forward.
