I actually had water cause it was later at night. And it was terrible! The worst ground water iv had! The men's bathroom had standing water in front of the urinal! It needs work! I heard it has changed hands so they should get in there and clean it up a bit! I expected it to have some newness to it. It did not! I do understand it's an old bar but it has potential!

The bar is under new management and they are still working on figuring out pricing (I Hope) The drinks were way overpriced for the location. 19.00 for 2 crown apple and Redbulls. Most other bars in the area are closer to 12.00. We love the ambience of the bar the only complaint is the prices. A bottle of Guiness was 7.00. They get prices figured out and we would visit Shiels more often.

This place is amazing, great food and the owner is a great guy. I highly recommend this place. Go play some pool with your kids at dinner time, shoot some darts, listen to music and enjoy a date night.

My family and I have been going here for years, and have never ever ever had an issue with anything, until last night. I’m pretty baffled with the treatment I received by the new bartender last night, and will only be back if the regular hard working loving bartenders are working. I also stood at the bar for a good second without her asking if she could help with anything, knowing I had just walked in. My husband and I go here for our date nights, as we love the food and enjoy the time chatting with the employees that usually wait on us. I can say Danielle and Brad are fantastic and we absolutely adore them! They treat us so well, and are so kind. Such a shame we no longer feel comfortable giving business after last night due to an employee not liking somebody as a customer.

It's definitely the best in the area and with virtually no turnover of staff dependable food and friendly service. I call it my go to as Carson really doesn't have any choices that make sense for diner or lunch.

We went to the dam to go fishing and stopped here after. This place has the oldest liquor license in Michigan. The staff were kind enough to tell us the history, as well as show/describe the pictures on the walls. They made a couple of out-of-towners feel very welcome! We did not eat, so I could not score them on that, but I gave them a five because the drinks were served in chilled glasses, and the beer was ice cold. I'm so glad we made the pit stop!!
