Wonderful food! 4 of us, all happy with our sandwiches/burgers! Good service. Typical small town bar atmosphere as expected.
I was passing through town and decided to stop and grab a bite to eat and so glad I did! Ashley was my bartender and she was so kind and helpful! I asked her for recommendations on food and she helped me decide on the Texas burger. And oh my goodness talk about amazing!!! That was the best burger I’ve had in years!! The Tavern in Ida, MI is a wonderful small town bar that is super friendly, clean, and fun. The food is fantastic, with great flavor and portion size for two people. The patty melt is excellent, ordered medium and served hot from the grill, just greasy enough to be very flavorful. The smash burger is a special worth every penny, and the tots are also excellent. Even when very busy, the waitresses work well together and provide great service. The total felt very reasonable, around $40 which included the tip, for a delicious meal at a great price. It is a nice and quiet spot for lunch, with a good selection of on tap drinks. A great choice for lunch, and a big you 'betcha to return if in the area.
