Tonite we had the displeasure of meeting the most rude manager(Tina) I've ever had engage us. After receiving a steak that was a quarter inch thick and requesting it to be medium it came well done. So having to watch my wife eat alone and requesting after 20 min of waiting for someone to come over and address the situation she asked if there was anything else I wanted. I said no, because by the time I recieved another steak my wife would be done eating and then she would have to watch me eat. After another 30 min our waitress came by and I stated that it is disappointing that a Manager didn't come back to say anything. And then 10 min later here she comes with the rudest most unapologetic demeanor I've ever been subjected to by a so called manager. She even went on to say that it's not her job to address a possible complaint. Finally I just said to please leave me alone. The other manager (Jake) came out and handled it in a clear, mature, manager like way. Kudos to Jake. On the other hand I feel sorry for anyone else that ever has to meet or otherwise engage with this less than management person named Tina. I would tell you how my food was but only my wife got to eat while I watched her. After being faithful patrons to this establishment for years, I was so upset as to how this Tina treated us that I will never go back to any applebees again, and obviously I was compelled to write this review. SHAME ON YOU TINA, and applebees try and do better on training an obviously undertrained person in a managerial position.

Want a restaurant that was once good but spiraled fast to the bottom then this is the place for you. Don’t drive past McDonald’s, Wendy’s or Arby’s with the misconception that you’re getting better food.

We came to celebrate a milestone Birthday with a party over 20. They gave this party to a new server and zero help. I am very disappointed with Applebee's and their lack of service and employees training. Thank you for ruining what was supposed to be a very rememberable evening. I have never felt so badly for our server as I did last night. I had to wait 24 hours to write this review. I almost called this morning. Then, I thought, no.....I then, I again, almost called back this afternoon and again this evening. I finally just decided to write this review.We witnessed our server have to take other tables. As well as our whole section/party. Then we witnessed other workers teaming up spraying empty tables down and wiping them down while we sat with empty waters.Management was overheard saying rude comments and they are lucky that I didn't hear them. The Birthday was a bust so was our dinner and our experience. Applebee's made some money and they could've probably made some more what a shame! Corporate will hear from me too!!Our poor server!

It is a typical chain restaurant. I've had good experiences and bad experiences at varying locations. This one is great 95% of the time. If you go during peak times, you might have a bit of a wait for food, but they check on you quite often. The wait staff is overworked and underpaid in my opinion. But this is at any restaurant really. But... do not hesitate to tip accordingly. I've had some not-so-great experiences in the past with servers who just didn't act like they wanted to be there, which I get, but... don't take it out on the customers if they're not being difficult to you in the first place. That being said... rude customers are absolutely horrible. Don't be "one of those" customers.

I usually have a good experience at Ionia Applebees. I took my daughter to dinner last night and I get it..it was busy with homecoming students eating and very packed, but when we got our beverages our glasses were DIRTY, our onion rings tasted like they were deep fried in OLD grease, my potatoe soup had not ONE potatoe in it! To top it off we over heard the waitress "Megan" complaining that the table of homecoming students didn't leave a tip. I wonder why!?? Not a good experience ?

I feel this location (or maybe the whole chain?) has gone downhill severely in the last few years. Even half-price appetizers really aren't worth it. I had boneless wings which looked like they'd been cooked a week prior, and the blandest queso blanco I've ever had. My partner got spinach & artichoke dip (which I swear gets smaller every time we go) and the loaded tots which he said were greasy and not very good.Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Lots to choose from on the kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.
