I was in the UP visiting a friend who just moved to Iron Mountain. He recommended the Thai Bistro. We had a very nice meal. The food was good but not great. Servers were very nice. The food was served fresh and we didn’t have to wait long. We will definitely be going back when we visit again.

Best all around Thai dinning we ever experienced. A true GEM. Menu is extensive!

Authentic Thai food in a welcoming atmosphere. Great service at the bar with a selection of both domestic and imported beers. Would recommend.

Submitting for my bf: Environment was clean, friendly. The service was not the best; waitress came by two times total to take my order and deliver. Did not ask for spice levels. Food came out bland, no seasonings or garnishes were brought out to add the flavor. The larb was extremely salty, no spice at all. All you could was the lime and salt. The pho was very disappointing as hell. No bean sprouts, jalapeños, garnishes, no condiments upon arrival - had to ask for sriracha, chili oil (was more so of a sweet chili sauce), and peanut butter. When I asked for a to-go box, the waitress took their time in getting back to me as I waited approximately 15 minutes as well for my sticky rice.

Fantastic food, vibe and service! Not overcrowded, unlike other restaurants in town. Huge portions, nice decorations and plenty of parking. We enjoyed our dinner a lot.

The food and absolutely amazing. We had mongolian beef, General Tso chicken, beef stir fry, pork fried rice, Duck Pho, mountain rolls, sticky rice, spring rolls and crab rangoons. I had the Thai iced tea which was really yummy. I was excited to try 151 Thai Bistro and was definitely not disappointed. Ansley (if spelled correctly) was our waitress and a delight. For sure coming back and telling all my friends. Thank you for an amazing experience ❤️

It's nice to have an Asian /Fusion option in this area, so appreciate that aspect.

I can't say, however, that the food was good (pad thai bland and too sweet), or the service (friendly staff but dishes never bussed, never checked in yet brought check when we might have ordered more, etc).

The sushi was sub-par and really overpriced. That being said, you can't really find decent sushi for probably 100 miles (Green Bay) so it's kind of the only option.

I have had the lunch specials before and that's probably the best option, otherwise I'll pass until I get to a large enough city where Asian options are more plentiful and flavorful.

Don’t get the tom kha! Literally just the clear soup with added coconut milk. No spices or lemon herbal flavor/aroma (the pic is tom kha leftovers after sitting ~20 min). Crab Rangoons were basically cheese rangoons (all melty cream cheese, practically no crab or texture). I can get the same plate of chefs special General Tso’s chicken back home for $5. The peanut sauce also tasted very generic, like from a packet. Honestly felt like a Chinese takeout restaurant trying to trick you with fake Thai food and prices. That being said, the wait staff was especially fantastic and the interior of the restaurant was very lovely.

Update: I came across a review that mentions that the owners are Chinese and the restaurant used to be Chinese food. Which makes A LOT of sense considering how the Thai food on their menu was definitely not “Thai”.
