I only get to spend a few weeks a year in the UP, but no trip is complete without a stop at the Nickel. Crystal, Zach and their staff are all amazing. The food is super tasty, their drinks are generous and everything is reasonably priced.
Small bar in the middle of nowhere. People and staff are really nice and welcoming and the burgers are amazing. You may wanna do takeout if you have kids and someone at the bar is especially lively.
Great friendly place, my daughter and I stopped after chasing waterfalls… we felt comfortable , visited with a bunch of locals and this one gentleman, great conversation and good historian of the area , Yes I’ll stop again someday ❤
