The best pasty shop in the area. We tried 4 different shops and Joe's was the winner.

So disappointed…. We drove 2 hours to stock up on my FAVORITE meal prior to a 6 week surgical recovery. We had previously stopped on a Saturday so we knew they would be open. We waited outside for almost an hour to see if they would open. Never did. I’m so sad. 😞

Its a toss up between Randall's and Joe's. I'd give this place the edge on taste, flavor and they have a chicken cordon bleu pasty whereas Randall's does not offer anything chicken.

This place matches my imagination for a pastie shop. Love it from the simple packaging to the friendly down to earth small town charm. Next time I will eat at the counter instead of devouring a traditional pastie while headed south on Highway 51 to land of no pasties. Thank goodness I was able to pick up some frozen ones for my next road trip.

This was our third stop for pasties on our road trip through Michigan and the UP. Previous stops were Superior Coffee in Sault Ste Marie and Muldoon's in Munising.

Joe's has been making pasties for 78 years (since 1946), so it might be the oldest pasty shop in Michigan.

We tried the traditional and the Finnish. I'm a big fan of the Finnish because I prefer the depth of flavor you get with the carrots and rutabaga.

Both pasties were perfectly cooked. The flavors were really good. I just wish they offered gravy.

Unlike some pasties we've had, Joe's didn't *need* gravy – it was perfectly moist. I just love gravy ?

Definitely stop at Joe's if you're looking for a great pasty! They're reasonably priced, delicious, and made with grass fed ground beef.

Picked up several varieties (frozen) including traditional, bacon cheeseburger and breakfast. Brought down to SE Wisconsin and shared with friends originally from Michigan. Wonderful flavor.

Parking: No issues with parking.
