This place is awful. I am not someone who eats at fancy restaurants but this is the worst food we’ve eaten and was SO expensive for what it was. The one time we did go to a fancy restaurant, we ate much better food and still paid less than we did here. Fawzi treats his staff terribly and does not pay them on time. They fired their entire kitchen crew all at once. He cheats on his wife with women who come into the bar. I promise there are much better small business restaurants in Jackson that are much more deserving of your money. Only thing this place has going for it is a band nights and alcohol, other than that I recommend staying away.

Food quality has really went downhill over the past few months. What a shame. It used to be great
Every year my brother and I have a big family get together will Every bodies winter birthday around 20 to 25 people. This place was a joke took us 2 1/2 hours to get our food I called 3 weeks in advance made reservations. They only had one cook and our 2 waitress walk off the job only the 1 waitress stepped up and busted her ass and finished the job she made very good on tips.

Everything seemed great.. ordered food then was told 10 minutes later that they can't make either things because of the dough being frozen. Like... That's something to tell us when we order. Now everyone is pissy in my house and it stemmed from this ridiculousness of a choice to try for the first time.

Would give zero if possible. Didn't have any dough for anything prepared and took like 20 mins to finally tell us with a max of 3 tables full. Would not recommnd
Fawsi's now. Staff was attentive even when we wanted seating outside in the cool weather of November with our dogs.

If I could rate a "0" I absolutely would. Maybe a quarter of a star for food. Only because the fries were good.
Service gets two stars because a waitress that wasn't our waitress was friendly and already knew there might be some disappointment and fixed our bill for us not to pay for the meal I received. The remaining burgers were paid for. Unfortunately, they were not finished but my children were hungry and did eat enough I feel to be paid for. I'm not terrible. However, my food was. And so was the service from our waitress. She was polite. We sat outside every bit of an hour just for food after we had to reorder food due to not having items on the menu that she didn't know about until ordering. When I got the chicken shawarma it was... The seasoning on the outside of the chicken was good. It would have taken another 40 min to eat through the dry? chewy? meat. That I did try to shred it. To kind of.. make it easier to chew.. it didn't. The rice, some pieces were hard and made it very uneasy to eat. Hurt my back tooth not knowing. Could be partially my fault I guess for not checking. In my defense, I was hungry. I love this dish and was super excited to get it without having to go out of town. When I put the pita and the sauce with high hopes at least pull this all together enough for me to enjoy. And it was just, nothing. I still had to chew and chew the chicken. Pita was good at least.
We had two hairs on our plates. Ask me and I'll tell you what your cook looks like without even ever seeing him..
If you're looking for a peanut butter sticky burger. Go to Roadhouse on Lansing Ave...
I had my oldest try something out of the box. Convinced him how good it was. He no longer trusts me because of this. Ugh. Epic fails on so many levels. I tried it to confirm.
My youngest seen trash under outside tables we were sitting at. Thank goodness we were paying attention. He went for a pre roll broken glass vile. He's 6, wanted to help and throw it away not knowing. Classy guys! That could have been really bad. It was mostly definitely a "dine and dash" moment. Because it wasn't really a dine to begin with to be dashing from. Luckily, I'm a good person. I did contemplate it more than once though. And that's got to be pretty bad man. In my entire 30 years I'd never.
I had high hopes for this place.
Maybe a great place for music and drinks. But if never get anything but the fries from here again. Sorry guys, it is what it is.
P. S. She did tell us that the baklava just came in and was fresh! Also 2.50 for 2 pieces. So there's that I guess.

If you are not a local/regular, pass by this place. It has an identity crisis. Is it a family restaurant; a local bar; a comedy club???
Went on a Sunday afternoon and never expected the craziness at the bar. People hanging all around us, yelling over us, doing shots with the owner. Just craziness. 20ft away there was a family party with young kids…
Food was great, but tons of confusion regarding what was actually available.
Maybe we went the wrong day?
