Unless you have unlimited lunch time, don't bother. 30 minutes after our order was placed, still no food. Asked to switch it to to-go and that took another 15 minutes. Were given $10 gift cards that we won't use. Watched someone from kitchen leave twice and come back with kitchen items. Had really hoped this place would do well. Guess not. 🤷♀️
Excellant food, Great service, Fresh & Timely food prep. Fair pricing. Highly recommended.
I always get the cucumber wrap because it's so delicious! The staff is amazing, went across the road (without us asking) to get mayo for my daughter's sandwich. Food is fresh and so good! We will be back!
This is a super cute lunch spot downtown. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are helpful. Sandwiches, soups, and salads are most of the menu. They also have a seasonal menu that I highly recommend. There is a small section where you can purchase non food items, flower bundles for $15 and treats for your dog. Pricing is a little more expensive, but the ingredients are fresh and quality. Definitely recommend a visit.

Okay, so I have now eaten at Murphy's a total of 3 times, and each time I can say that it's a bit of a mixed bag, lol. The food is pretty good, but is definitely more on the overpriced side. For the price, I'd say the food is a bit average, tbh, but not bad. The soups are probably the best thing I've had here (always have been tasty so far!). This last visit i ordered the tuna melt, and although the tuna itself was pretty good, the rest of the sandwich was just...meh. What do I mean? Well, the tuna salad mix was literally just tuna and mayo, with a couple token greens (looked like fresh spinach leaves) thrown on top and then grilled. For a price tag of somewhere around $13-$15 (I'm not exactly sure because it was on the seasonal items board, which didn't have prices listed), you'd think that it might have had some tomato, or at least some onion & celery in the tuna mix. But I will say that for it just being tuna and mayo, it was decent and didn't taste too mayonnaisey (if you know what I mean, you know lol). My friend also got a seasonal sandwich and although it was good, she was shocked at the price for what she got...her chicken pesto sandwich was rather small and didn't have a lot going on for what she paid. I love a good deli sandwich, and I'll pay for it - but you can get a better value & taste at someplace like Mike's deli in Chelsea (fantastic, and I highly recommend!) or even Mancino's in Jackson (their grinders never disappoint, and the whole ones are HUGE, for about the same price or less as what you'd pay at Murphy's...and even the half order will fill you up at a smaller price!). The atmosphere of Murphy's was very nice, very upscale...but I feel like that's what a lot of downtown Jackson is trying to turn into, with price tags to match - which I feel is very out of touch for many of Jackson residents. The food here is pretty decent but not anything I'd rush out to get very often at their current prices. They'd really have to step it up and at least jazz up some of their current items before I'd truly recommend them.

Went to Murphy's Bistro for the first time today. I had never heard of the place, but I got a gift certificate from one of my student's parents.
Service was quick and amazing. They are very accommodating. The restaurant is very clean. I got the California Club with the herb mayo and it was very good! Make sure you check it out.

Unfortunately the service is so slow people were leaving without ordering
I waited 10 minutes to place order then waited 10 minutes after ordering and no one was ahead of me
Higher priced which is fine if the quality is great …but it is not …sadly has gone downhill since first opened

What an AWESOME place! Loved the atmosphere, nice seating, roomy and welcoming. The display case for the pastries was eye popping and mouth watering. Sensory overload! Lol
Walking in, we were immediately welcomed with a friendly smile and greeting. The menu was well balanced with many sandwiches and salads to choose from. Our selections were great. The portions are wonderful. We were very impressed to see that there was alcohol available too! A pretty small but well rounded selection was to be had and probably suited to everyone. When the food came out, it was delicious! LOVED the pickles! We are definitely going to be returning and possibly make this a weekly stop! Highly recommended! A good fit for downtown Jackson!

Great new lunch spot within walking distance of my work. This was my first time visiting and I Loved the atmosphere! I had the Italian sandwich with a cup of soup. Exceptional tasting sandwich and the portion was very big so I could split it into two lunches. The cheddar broccoli soup was delicious as well. My only small complaint was the amount of grease on the sandwich and in the wrapper from the meat. I’m not one to care about grease but this was a lot. I would suggest dabbing the meat on a cheese cloth or something to absorb the grease before placing on the sandwich, but that’s just me! I would order this sandwich again regardless. Cant wait to try their salads!
