Outstanding. Facility was clean (bonus points), staff was friendly, service was quick and the sandwich was just what I needed. Overall this is a return to location. Go hungry! The sandwich will be a two meal deal for me, I should have picked the smaller size but that's my problem.

Over priced and underwhelming, I've had similar sandwiches at 2/3 the price at other sandwich shops. The flavor wasn't necessarily memorable either. Finally the pickle, the item that is their namesake was possibly the biggest letdown of the meal. No crisp and no crunch, the pickle was soggy, soft, and collapsed under its own wheight when held up. Very disappointed.

Iām a student at the University of Michigan that lives down the street in Jackson (commuting student). Naturally, I love the occasional Zingermanās sandwich in Ann Arbor, and when I saw that this place offers sandwiches on their bread, I knew this place had to be fantastic in quality! I was not disappointed!
The staff was so friendly, I tried the minestrone and the tuna sandwich. Amazing! I would confidently go as far as to say Jackson has a Zingermanās of their own - maybe even better ;)! Iām so happy to have this at home, I will be back for my next fix!

When are they ever open??? They are always closed. I have tried on multiple occasions to try their food seeing that I live directly around the corner but trying to catch them doing business is like playing the lottery. Hours are terrible.

Weāve been watching this building like hawks waiting for it to open and were thrilled to give it a try today! Everything was so tasty- soup portions were huge and included homemade croutons! The dessert was scrumptious. The sandwiches lived up to the hype. We are a family with both meat eaters and vegetarians in the mix and we finally found a place where the food is great all around and nobody is left to settle for less. We will definitely be back!

5-star meal for under 20 bucks?!? Highest quality sandwich ingredients. I should know,as I ate Zingermanās food every day for years . Hustle and bustle of opening week will test the sandwich production line, so expect a line. But, donāt hesitate to give it a go! South central Michigan just opened a food gemstone!

I was first introduced to The Pickle Barrel Deli in middle school by my mom. We both loved the Greenwood and Union and the pickle barrel became our favorite place to get lunch when I had appointments or whenever we were able to get it. Today, I tried the Greenwood and union again and it was just like I remembered it. Unfortunately, my mom isn't here to enjoy the Pickle Barrel opening up again but I can say that they kept a very similar atmosphere they had so many years ago.
