Yen King is definitely the best Chinese food in Jackson area. Been there a few times and always been great . Our last visit was a little different though. We ordered crab Rangoon and they were served not fully cooked. We brought it to our servers attention and she insisted that they were fine but then offered to cook them longer. When she brought them back there was still some uncooked areas.Its not shown in the picture though since the uncooked areas is in the middle. The egg rolls are the best ,< so good.

I've been waiting YEARS to go to the highest rated Chinese restaurant in our area, since they have so many wonderful reviews... my fault for getting my hopes up.My fiance and I came in for lunch. Seated immediately, as there were no other diners in the restaurant. Had to order lunch off of paper placemat menus, wasn't offered a full menu.Nice place, decent food, but SMALL portions. And honestly, it's nothing spectacular you couldn't get at any other Chinese place in the area. Paid almost $60 for 2 people to eat off a lunch menu. The waiter acted like he couldn't be bothered the entire time we were there. Wanted to charge me for a refill of my drink into a to-go cup, which I thought was mighty petty after paying so much for lunch and leaving a decent tip, despite the lack of excellence in his service performance. He wasn't happy to see customers, I guess. We won't be back.

The General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoon are amazing. I always find myself with a hot pot of tea and some Sizzling rice soup on a cold day. Yen king is one of the best places in Jackson. period. great service and amazing food.

Used to be one of my favorite places years ago! Stopped in today to get food. Wanted a booth to enjoy my food. I asked for food to be packed to go so it wouldn't make them work double as I knew I'd have to leave in 30 minutes and take the rest with me.Owner asked me to move to an uncomfortable stool with no table "in front of the door" because the booth was for her "dining customers" ? Well what exactly was I? ?Never been treated so rude! I'll stick to my favorite China Buffet where they are kind to every guest and excited to see all of their customers. Especially ME!! ? Cancelled my order. If I'm not able to sit at your table, you're not getting my cash. ??♀️
The crab meat rangoons didn’t have crab meat in them and if they did it wasn’t prevalent. Opened everyone. Will say everything else is amazing food wise just disappointed in the crab rangoons.
