Been going there for 30 years. Now it’s under new ownership and the quality has been lowered quite a bit. Not enough wait staff so it can be up to 45 minutes to get your food and it’s usually not exactly what you ordered. The girls are hustling but not enough of them. The quality of the food is lacking. Used to be great and now it’s fair at best. We’ve just started to drive a little further to Paul’s Pub.

Food was excellent atmosphere was above decent but as in most places in northern Michigan it was understaffed and the staff that was there was running ragged at the best, thy abilities of the staff we're working extremely hard and it would be nice if there were people available to do this type of work.

Not sure what the buzz is all about. But regardless it’s a fun cute little small town bar/grill. Great for drinks, keno, maybe appetizers. I got a dinner (a pasta dish) that was marginal, at best. My partner got the burger, said it was on par for the type of establishment. The French fries are fresh Cut (which are usually amazing) but everyone who’s ever worked in food before knows you have to destarch the fries first (after you cut them by soaking them in water for a lil bit) or they come out rubbery and starchy. Well, that’s what you’ll get here. Fries that could be amazing but aren’t prepared properly so they are mid. So yeah, I’d go for appetizers and drinks, play some keno, laugh and have fun but don’t expect some epic meal experiences here.

Went for dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday. Although restaurant was not full and we were immediately seated and given drinks there was a noticeable constant flow of take out pizzas coming out of the kitchen for pick ups. Owner seemed more focussed on his pizza business to the detriment of the in house patrons and wait staff. Subsequently it took over 45 minutes to get our dinner. Many seated patrons were disturbed to see pizzas coming out of the kitchen, but not table orders. Wait staff were noticeably concern and tried hard to placate those of us seated. The owner needs to learn to manage their turnover fairly. The customers on the floor should be a priority, not the phone in orders. The wait staff make their living from tips, to deny them the kitchen service to make their jobs a success is an abysmal way to operate a food service enterprise.
