A year after Deborah C.'s review, her review is still accurate! My friend and I went there on January 17th and there was a line. When it opened, the line remained stagnant for about 15 minutes due to it being the first time with a new crew. It was worth the wait! The pairings were awesome!I highly recommend checking it out!

If you haven't tried the student run 418 restaurant in Kalamazoo Valleys culinary program you should! Students run the front and the back of the house in their culinary education by planning, preparing and serving amazing meals like this soy snd honey glazed salmon with crispy multi colored potatoes and pickled asparagus with mushrooms. The salmon was perfectly done so it was light and tender but not over done. The soy and honey is delicious! There were white yellow and purple potatoes that had been deep fried to tender crisp and sprinkle with a mixture of lemon zest, garlic and parsley- it has a fancy name the students can share . Try their beer and good pairings at Tuesday Taps on Tuesday events . Students create the beers on campus and have won national awards. One of the best parts of the meals is that your tips go into the student scholarship fund students be generous, enjoy fine dining and help students on their educational journey. Dinner reservations are a must.

We have visited the 418 Restaurant at KVCC several times usually with a bunch of friends. They offer selected gourmet set menus based on local produce that are creative and enjoyable. Wine and beer choice is always interesting. Cooking and waiting are by students who give you a friendly performance. The place is roomy and comfortable with a lot of windows to the Portage Creek. Pricing is unbeatable. By reservation only on specific dates. Recommended.
