So we went there and found his new favorite place to eat in the world! They had fresh cut fries which he raved about! Mimi, these are so good, way better than Mc Donald's! And those were his favorite fries , lol. He also got 1/4 BBQ chicken with spicy sauce, baked beans and garlic toast. I tried their Italian beef with peppers and onions. There was more food than we could eat and it was all delicious. The owner was very nice, helpful and personable but not intrusive at all. We required a to go container for my grandsons leftovers so he now had a full lunch for tomorrow as well. Food was very fresh and well made with large portions and the restaurant was clean and full of sports memorabilia. It's a delightful change from chain places and I highly recommend it.”

“Sorry for the heft, but I also don’t care. La Piñata deserves it.

I first discovered La Piñata back in 2017 when I was working on that side of town. I went there frequently for several years, then changed jobs and basically stopped going because I was no longer nearby.

I’m far from a Mexican cuisine authority, but in my view, it’s hard to beat the authenticity and quality of the food here. The drinks have always been good, the customer service has always been top tier, and the cherry on top was always Luis, a guy who never seems to have a bad day, and if you are having one, he’ll make you forget about it real fast.

A month or two ago, after realizing how long it had been, we randomly stopped in and nothing had changed, and I was thrilled. The food was still excellent, the drinks were somehow even better than I remembered, and Luis was still there serving. Even better, his son is now part of the experience too, and he’s just as great as his dad.

Now we find ourselves coming back every few weeks despite living on the other side of town with plenty of other options between here and there. My wife’s soccer team has also started going there for post-game libations. Today I realized I had never left a review, and I have no idea why. So here it is: do yourself a favor and visit La Piñata for the food, the drinks, or the vibe. You won’t go home disappointed. 🌮

One last thing: about a month ago, I asked for a mojito, and it was excellent. A few weeks later, I ordered another one, and Luis basically told me I needed to try his strawberry mojito. Obviously, I accepted, and I was not let down.

Today, I came in and asked for that same strawberry mojito. They were out of mint. Next thing I know, Luis leaves the bar, goes to the store, gets fresh mint, comes back, and still makes me the strawberry mojito. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen service like that anywhere else. As I told them, it might be the best mojito I’d ever had. 🍹

Fast forward 20 minutes: we’re finishing up and about to cash out when they ask if I’d be willing to try a new mojito Luis had just created. My answer was, of course, “give it to me.” 😂

He made a blueberry mojito, and it is the mother of all mojitos. It was SO GOOD. It even bested the strawberry one in my opinion, which was no small feat. How awesome is it that he chose me as his test subject? 🥹 Anything for you, Luis. Thank you for trusting me with such a critical task. 🫡 I’ll be asking for it again soon at my next visit. Hopefully it’s on the menu by then. 😉

I’ve had this dish at many restaurants, but this version was a massive letdown. Instead of tender pot roast, I was served dry, thin slices of lunch meat roast beef that tasted like a cheap 70s TV dinner. For such a simple meal, the quality was unacceptable. Save your money and order something else—avoid the pot roast at all costs.”

I watched the bartender tell him to tone it down a few times but the guy was just a loud belligerent drunk. I am no prude but I don’t go to a restaurant to listen to that. This was at 7:00 not 10:30. Today I went in planning to get my usual, but I was looking at the fish sandwich special. I talked to Hayley V and she convinced me to try it out and it was fantastic! 10 stars to her, and her great attitude out there running around during the rushes they were having. Great employee and Super polite!

I honestly didn’t think they would be able to do it but figured I’d try. I can’t remember who I talked to, but she was AMAZING! So helpful, super understanding, SO accommodating, she promised to have the cake made & ready in 24 hours. I picked it up this afternoon and it was the PERFECT sonic cake! My son said “my cake is the best cake ever” after his first bite! I’d say that’s a win! It’s absolutely delicious! “I cannot say enough good things about Bilbo's! We hosted a party of about 50 people there (sight unseen because we're not local). They made it so easy and so nice. Our friends and family commented multiple times about how great the space was and how good the food was. Our servers were impeccable, and Jake & Raegan the owners made the planning & night go smoothly! We had the section of the restaurant with pool tables & a pinball machine, too. It was perfect! We ordered a shaskuska and it was a can of tomatoes with jalapeño that you bought at a store with two eggs on top, oh I forgot a few crumbed of feta cheese. It was cold and it tasted horrific. I have never experienced such a bad experience as breakfast like that before. It was tasteless and the price we paid for a can of tomatoes and 2 eggs ( even if eggs are more expensive now) it was almost $15!!! I was with a friend and did not want to make a scene so I did not say anything during my time there. I certainly won’t recommend this place.”

I have eaten at various Jimmy John locations too many times to count and have never had an issue with something I ordered in the store. Today I decided to try their online ordering because I was too busy to leave work for lunch. The food was delivered less than 10 minutes from when I ordered it, but unfortunately my sub came with tomato and onion on it when I asked for it without. I was disappointed since I had never had a problem with my order before, but I didn't want to call and wait for a new sandwich so I picked off the toppings I didn't want. I decided to leave some feedback on the website and was called within 5 minutes of submitting my feedback by someone in their corporate office. Then the store manager called me not even an hour later to personally apologize and offer me a credit for the amount I spent next time I call and order something. Now that is incredible customer service!! I wanted to return the favor and quickly write a review of my great experience. All restaurants make mistakes from time to time, but very few restaurants take the time to remedy them and keep their customers happy. Jimmy Johns definitely has my business!”
