“I really enjoyed my experience here and the food! The owner is very friendly and shows he really cares about the food. He is very accommodating and can adjust spice levels if you crave something a bit more spicy. The raita and carrot salad are the perfect sides to balance with acidity and cream to cool down your palate. I would recommend giving this place a shot, especially during the cold winter months!“
“A lovely atmosphere at Cumin. It's small, but not crowded. Welcoming. Our food was very good. I don't do spicy, although my son and his wife do, so I really appreciated each of us being able to choose a heat level. My one-year-old grandson was with us, and he enjoyed the lights and the music, as well as the Naan bread. To me, the best part was our waitress. She was very helpful in the menu selections and thoughtful in helping us with the baby. I would definitely recommend Cumin Indian Cuisine to othersKid-friendliness: Our waitress turned on extra lights to entertain my grandson and suggested a mango drink that he might like.“
“This place has to be my absolute favorite Indian restaurant in all of the U.S. and I can't believe how lucky we are to have it here in the Kalamazoo/Portage area. The briyanis are fantastic and remind me of home (I'm a bit of a biryani snob being from Hyderabad). I absolutely love and recommend the special chicken biryani, lamb biryani, and the Bombay chicken biryani. My wife and I also often order the chicken 555 and as an appetizer. Other non-veg favs include the goat pepper fry, sukha goat, and lamb curry. We also love the gobi 65. One thing you must absolutely try is the malai kofta - OMG SO DANG GOOD!You really can't go wrong trying this place out. Just a fair warning - you'll likely not be able to stop coming back (a good thing)!“
“Food here hands down amazing. Fresh cooked to order never had a bad experience here it is my favorite Indian restaurant in all of Kalamazoo. Buffet lunch is good but needs a little more variety. Must try their mango lassi drink it’s delicious! Atmosphere is nice and dim space is a little small but well organized, food is a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it“
