Subway in Kalamazoo

“Loved my experience here as a return to education student. Professors and staff really do go out of their way for students, you just can’t be afraid to ask for the resources needed.

“The nicest lady just helped me! I came in very unexpected with a catering order that you typically have to order ahead for and she not only still did the order for me immediately but she was so kind even offering to help me carry it to my car. She was AMAZING and so kind. ❤️“

“The only problem with this place is its location inside a Walmart. I've only seen one woman working, and she's just the sweetest, kindest, most welcoming person I've ever met. Food is just as edible as any other Subway, but the single employee's attitude and delight makes up for it. She is what keeps me coming back!“

“I love subway flavor. Especially the new spicy pickle chips! Thanks for keeping those around!The workers are always hit or miss. The last few times I've been in for my normal sub with way too many pickles and olives, the request has been met perfectly.As for the atmosphere, it's always fairly drab compared to the old authentic look I remember from childhood. Bring back authentic subway and do away with this modern nonsense.That said, I will be back. More than I should. Because subway is my weakness. I love you subway.

Vegetarian options: As a meat eater with a vegetarian partner, I can't help but think veggie subs should be even cheaper. Without the protein, the subs cannot be nearly the same price. You are taking advantage of those who chose not to eat meat. Seems counterproductive but I get it, capitalism wins.That's my two cents.“

“Phenomenal staff!! The crew went above and beyond to contact me to let me know they believed my card information was stolen and was being used to place several back to back orders at their store.I hung up and blocked the first caller after assuming it was a scam (poor phone service on my end made the callers voice inaudible + I’d never lived in, near, or even been to Michigan before). The staff continued to make efforts to contact me from their personal phones, and when I finally answered again they alerted me of the theft. Because of their quick thinking and continued efforts to call me, I was able to cancel my card quickly without any major purchases going through! Their local police even got ahold of me with case number to give my bank to ensure I would be refunded.I can’t thank them enough for their consideration and kindness towards me!!“

“The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. Additionally, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive. As for the people, they were polite and respectful, creating a pleasant and friendly environment. “The staff is very kind and courteous the store itself has just gone through new renovations which now allows people with handicaps more seating options butt sorry no restrooms.

Parking: They have just done road renovations to open up more parking space

Wheelchair accessibility: Was recently renovated to accommodate more people with wheelchairs and disabilities“

“I hate to go into a restaurant close to closing time , I know people are ready to clean up and go home. Unfortunately I couldn’t get there until about 15 minutes to close, both employees were so nice! If it bothered them they didn’t show it. The food and service were great..“

In regards to the associates working -
Krish. In addition to make bread he also made my sandwich just the way I wanted it with extra extra dressing / sauce. Thank you. The other worker was Appi he was logging inventory, he too was polite, apologizing for the boxes.
The store was very clean, so I peeked in the women's room out of curiosity. Yep, it too was very orderly and in place.“

“Was only one worker and she had a sling while working through tears, apparently she has a hernia in her disk and decided to come to work out of fear of being fired, my son and I felt bad for her and told her to take her time and that it was okay, we made sure she did not exert herself with sandwich making, she did well and feel she deserves a raise and paid time off to heal, her name is Alicia and she deserves an excellent compliment from everyone when you visit here“

“I just had a wonderful experience buying a couple of subs for me and my Dad. I live down the street and sometimes Subway is what I am craving. I always have a good experience at this location. The staff are friendly and do such a good job. I like to get a foot long Black Forest Ham with some bacon. I usually eat half and have a nice side salad for a healthy dinner. Let's show our neighborhood Subway some love and the wonderful employees who work so hard. Don't forget to tip! They really earn it with their excellent work :)“

“In reference to the review right before this one: them putting it in the paper bag was because it was a melt. They put everything on it, close the sandwich, and toast it in a paper bag. My little sister got a ham and cheese melt at the one in the mall and they left it in the paper bag there, too. This is honestly one of the cleanest Subways in town every time I've ever been in there (many, many times). Their meats and veggies are bar the freshest of any subway within a 20 mile radius and their toaster oven ALWAYS works!!“

“This is my favorite Subway. I place my order in the App and when I get there it is always ready. I order at Noon during the week. I get the tuna with extra meat. My sub is made perfect, exactly like I like. (I went to another Subway, last week,ordered the same thing and it sucked.)
I will be getting my work Subway lunches from this Subway at S. Westnedge & Kilgore.“
