Delicious food, good service, and a fun Mid-Mod decor. My peppermint mocha and Western Omelette were tasty!

One of my go-to spots in kZoo because they actually have a vegan menu that is both tasty and has variety.
Great atmosphere and staff.
They know what they’re doing here.

The fact that someone can be standing up front for 5 minutes or so and still not be greeted is beyond ridiculous teach the 5ft rule where you interact with everyone you come across.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to for this one. My friends and I came in for breakfast the other day, and Cassie our waitress was awesome. The food was great, but she really made the experience. There was a table being super rude to her, and she still stayed calm, kind, and totally professional. We felt so bad for her but were really impressed with how she handled it. We made sure to leave her a big tip....she definitely deserved it.

Way back when [the mid-naughts] I first moved out to this side of Michigan, this building was a Big Boy's. While the outside building still offers a hint of its past, the inside is bright, lively, and tastefully decorated, as you can see in pictures of other reviewers. What a breath of fresh air it has become!
Today, I ordered the gluten free cinnamon role and it came out quickly and was delicous. The inside was moist, warm and so yummy. While we were looking over the menu to order the rest of our meal, the table next to us had their food delivered quickly by several people not long after ordering. For some reason after we ordered, this didn't happen to our food, and as you can see in the pictures- the eggs had dried and the edges and tops were hard, as they clearly had been prepared quickly and then had sat somewhere for a bit before being brought to our table. You can even see the glistening areas and color difference of the scrambled egg in one of the pictures where I moved some of it around that really shows the difference in the dried out areas. The hash browns we no longer warm, and our colder regular or gluten free toast was heavily buttered, but only over a thin, middle section of each half of the piece of toast.
After checking on us after our food arrived, it was 45 minutes before we saw our waitress again. We couldn't get our check, couldn't get boxes, and we couldn't get out of there in a timely manner. I dont know if this was because the restaurant was slowing down and there was not more than 3 other people near our area, or what.
Breakfast for 3, a cinnamon roll, and 2 lattes came out to over $80 before a tip, which I thought was mind boggling expensive for breakfast.
Loads of vegan and gluten free options? Check. Nice decor? Check. Friendly greeters? Check. Oh, last thing... in the women's restroom one of the sink faucets is broken and all you get is ice cold water to wash your hands with, so use the one on the right.

Had a great time at this location with some friends. Wide open space in plenty of room for many guests. Plus at every table, there’s enough room to not be sitting directly on top of those you are with. Food selection is impressive with a wide variety. Prices are exactly where they should be. If not cheaper for the quality of food and amount of food that you receive with each order. Definitely recommend.

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but our visit ended up being pretty disappointing for a couple of reasons.
First issue: the waitlist system.
We joined the online waitlist, which showed a 10–20 minute wait. A few minutes later we got a text saying they were busier than expected and to confirm if we wanted to stay on the waitlist—which we did. The timer counted down normally, and when it said we were second in line, we headed inside. At that point, it showed us as first in line, but we watched multiple groups get seated ahead of us. When we finally asked, we were told we were supposed to check in at the hostess stand at the moment we joined the waitlist… something that was never mentioned anywhere. After that conversation, they seated us—one hour after we originally joined the list. Oddly enough, a few minutes after we were already at the table, we got a text saying our table was ready, and then another text later saying we were removed from the waitlist. The whole system felt very unorganized.
Second issue: the food.
My first choice, the breakfast lasagna, was out. No big deal—so I ordered the Southwest Eggs Benedict with sweet potato fries. A few minutes later, the waitress came back to let me know they were out of sweet potato fries too. I switched to tater tots. Our food arrived shortly after, but the tater tots were completely frozen inside. They took them off the plate, and then I realized my Eggs Benedict were cold as well. Those ended up being taken back to be microwaved. Not exactly the experience you hope for when eating out, especially when their sign says “Voted best breakfast in Michigan”
The staff was polite, but between the inaccurate waitlist system, multiple menu items being unavailable, and food coming out cold/frozen, the visit missed the mark for us. I’m hoping it was just an off day, but it definitely wasn’t a great first impression.
