Not sure how they managed to get 4+ stars. The menu offerings are limited and a little off. Not in the trendy sort of way but in the “we are trying to be trendy and don’t know how” sort of way. The food was edible but the compliment stops there. Even dessert was not pleasing to the palate. The quality definitely is not reflected in the prices. The service while friendly was extremely poor and lacking. The view into the kitchen when the door would be left opened made me seriously question why I stayed for the duration of the meal, that alone should have sent me out the door. Highly do not recommend. Decor was fun, atmosphere was loud and difficult to communicate. It was somewhat chilly. And the crème de la crème was having the homeless people approaching for money in the parking lot.

Been coming here since 1987.
Last Saturday, 11/01/25, I thought I would head down for a couple of pints.
No Porter, no Kalamazoo Stout, no Best Brown!
First time in 38 years they didn’t have anything on tap I liked.
The days of Larry are long gone!

One of the original craft breweries not just in Kalamazoo but the country. Good is always good, beer selection is wide ranged and they have other selections for non beer drinkers. The beer garden is great for nicer Michigan days.

Best brewery in Kalamazoo.
Everything was amazing, just wish they had more stuff in their gift shop area.
Unique casual place to get good drinks and good food.

I really like Bell's food, but hate that you have to find your own table and there are no reservations. We usually come here for a concert, and like to arrive early for dinner but it's always so stupidly frustrating to have to walk around the dining area looking for a table.

Over sold (tiny) venue. Staff asked us to move 4 times in an hour. Couldn't be left alone to just enjoy the show despite moving out of said area each time we were asked to move. We ordered poutine with bacon. The bacon was burned, the gravy tasted like straight salt and sadness, and there were about 3 cheese curds total. Overall a waste of my time and hard earned money. I had been here before and had a near identical experience, thought I would give it another chance. Never again. The staff acted like we as customers were an inconvenience for being there.

Went around 145pm on a Saturday and waited 10ish minutes to order from the self-serve line (the full-service are was full). It took around 45 minutes to an hour to receive our food after we ordered it. There was no indication that the wait for food was that long when we ordered. The food was just okay. The beer was great. I don't recommend going if it's busy

Had a blast at the Minus Five/The Baseball Project concert. Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Beer was cold and the food was tasty.
