Overpriced, especially for such low quality. The bagels are tiny and oddly shaped. They barely toast them. The servers at the front are nice, though. Go to Bagel Beanery instead!
you guys have the best blueberry muffins in the world, but I came in and open today 7:00am you guys opened at seven and there was only five mini blueberry muffins in stock. That is ridiculous. i’m sick of never getting what i want because you guys make such low stock

Awesome place!!!! So good!!!! We came for their spinach bagels for the month of March special and everything is so good! I highly recommend

Charming little lobby that my family of five enjoyed a nice meal in with a very helpful staff that gave us great insight in their menu and were kind enough to make the perfect hot chocolate for my picky kids that like it almost cold! Definitely will be coming back to enjoy other items from the menu!
I'm old school! I get turned off of any business that charges a credit card fee like they do. Food and coffee are OK but overpriced,just like Starbucks. Go to Tim Hortons or Sweetwaters.
The last time I was here, they messed up my order, so I stayed away. Was in the area and decided to go again. They didn't mess up my order, and the service was good, but they overcharged me on sales tax. The rate was set to 7%, not 6%.
I took my 2 children there around noon last week and there was only one young man working in the entire building. He said someone had called in sick. He was very polite. He brought our food and drinks out to us on the patio. My drink was made hot and I had ordered frozen. When I brought it to his attention he remade it with a smile and brought it out to the patio again when he was done. To that young man, if you read this your customer service was fantastic! The reason I rated with 3 stars was because the double chocolate muffin I had ordered for my son was almost rock solid so it had to have been sitting there for days. The display case only had 5 or 6 muffins total in the whole case so maybe that should've been a red ? and also because I think whomever is in charge of that location should have either found him so E help by covering that shift either with another employee or they themselves should have stepped up to help him.
Hate having to come here but I have to for my work. Unprofessional employees and very unorganized. Theirs one guy there with curly hair who knows what he is doing. Don't bother placing an online order the night before because apparently you have to do it while they are still open because the morning crew can't fulfill the order. I simply wanted to be guarenteed the type of bagels I have to get for work so I can just pick them up in the morning but the lady first told me because I placed it too late the night before they didn't get to it then when I asked for a refund she told me she already voided the order earlier before I got there because they were out of the bagels I ordered. WHICH IS WHY I ORDERED THE NIGHT BEFORE SO WHEN THE MORNING CREW MADE BAGELS THEY COULD SET ASIDE THE ONES I ORDERED FOT PICK UP. I am usually not the type to complain or be rude, but I've had it with this place.

Stay clear of this place. I am a former employee of Big Apple Bagels on S. Westnedge Ave in Portage. This restaurant is completely falling apart. The owner cares little about the state of the restaurant and does the absolute bare minimum to keep it running. We are constantly out of many food items and utensils. The back of the restaurant is not clean. I tell my friends and family to not come here for concern to their health. All of the food is of low quality and microwaved in dirty microwaves. The food here is greatly overpriced. Employees are given little to no training. In fact, the turn over rate of employees there is astounding. Save your time, money, and possible health by not coming here.
Four people working here, not a competent one among them. Messed up my very simple order, twice. You'd think someone working in a bagel shop would be able to tell the difference between a chocolate chip bagel and a cinnamon raisin bagel. Nope. Twice. And they somehow didn't notice their toaster wasn't actually toasting. How do you pick up a bagel that has just come out of the toaster and not notice it's not even warm, let alone toasted? They just shove the room temperature bagel in a bag and hand it to the customer. Set your expectations appropriately if you choose to go here.
This is the slowest bagel shop I’ve ever been to. It took 17 minutes from the time that I ordered for them to toast a plain bagel and put plain cream cheese in a container. I’ve been coming here once a month or so for over a year, hoping my experience gets quicker but they never seem to have enough employees working to run efficiently. They have one poor teenager making everyone’s order and he can only do one thing at a time. The other employee running the cash register just stands there staring at everyone while we wait for the other one to make things one at a time. The manager? He walked out, looked at the line and disappeared again. Bagel Bummer dude.
Very dissapointed with their lack of management and staffing. It's pretty dissapointing to see a general disregard for the safety of their employees. I'm pretty sure having all minors at the store is not ok. The management should be ashamed. Not to mention the fact that they where pretty much out of bagles. Get it tougher guys!
The poor guy at the register today clearly wasn't trained properly. He was ringing up orders incorrectly and when he asked for help from management they just came over and fixed the order for him without giving instruction on how to accurately ring up items. Everything was chaotic and unorganized. There were 2 groups of people who came in after us that got their food before us and the staff had to ask us what we ordered and made it after the people behind us got their food and left. There was one untrained cashier to 5 people preparing bagels and somebody more experienced could have been ringing up people with him and helping him learn the register. Plus side, your bagels are excellent, wish there was a better training program for your new employees though, I felt bad for this guy, he kept asking for help and management was less than helpful and not very courteous to him.
