This place wasn’t too bad! The bagel breakfast sandwiches were pretty good. We didn’t try the bakery items but they did look delicious. The coffee was okay, they only have skim milk.

service was very upsetting. we ordered 2 bagels and waited for 15 mins before receiving our food after they continued to mess up orders making it publicly known. many people were getting impatient. the people that ordered after us received their food before us and we were dinning in. overall it’s not the place but the individuals working.

I worked there and am disgusted. They cook eggs in old plastic containers in the microwave that are so melted on the bottom that the raw egg gets into the holes and cracks in the plastic, gets cooked in, then it can’t be properly washed. Employees don’t properly wash dishes. I was profusely thanked by multiple managers for doing the dishes properly because apparently everyone else just used hot water. If food including meat and cream cheese was past it’s date but still looked good we were instructed to move in to a new container and but a new expiration as if it was new product from that day. I know for a fact my coworker knowingly made and sold breakfast sandwiches with bad salmon because we didn’t have anymore in the back. I also watched multiple coworkers move all expired food to new containers and putting new dates on everything. The owners are a couple and they own the one in Portage too. The wife runs this one and the husband runs the other. She however is not servesafe certified which is a violation. They keep her husband’s certificate up in the back and employees are directly told to lie and tell inspectors that he was our manager. On top of that I learned I was hired in making more than multiple managers. And I was hired in at $11/hr…in 2022. The owners are incredibly manipulative and run a really shady business. These locations are franchises so they can get away with a lot. Don’t support them!

Wandered in during a morning walk. Was pleased that staff could accommodate my special request and the breakfast bagel was great! Served piping hot along with my latte. I was able to get a refill of coffee and chose the [limited] Michigan Cherry. OMG! That's a winner! I'll go back just for a cup of that!

Delicious, freshly made bagels, cream cheese & muffins. Great selection of cafe items as well. Highly recommend the Havarti Dill bagel with cucumber ranch cream cheese or a Cheddar Herb bagel with cheddar jalapeño cream cheese.

Carmel Latte tasted like coffee with a lot of milk, very hot, but no flavor at all. Haven't tried the bagels yet, but I will get back to you on that. Give me a minute. Thanks, more expensive then New Yorks bagels.

I LOVE bagels but here there is not much to love here, I was really dissatisfied and disappointed. The bagels were doughy and flat tasting. I have a very nice bagel slicer at home and it could not do a clean cut the bagels were so doughy. Staff were not organized and one look like she was asleep standing up. The store was clean if you did not look to close, I did look close and it was sure the cleaning was a while with a dry towel, and nothing moved. Only a couple customers in the store on Sunday morning. I hate giving a bad review but my dog got most of the bagels, this used to be a good place, makes me sad. This was a nice place to get bagels.

I visited Big Apple Bagel this morning [5/17/2023], and the amount of laziness I experienced was horrible. I walked in, not one single person greeted me, I had no idea what I was even doing. Cashier is standing there staring at me.I asked for her recommendation, as I have never been there before, and she acted like it was a burden that someone even talked to her. The lady that made my sandwich was very nice, and I could tell she appreciated her job. The other lady that made my coffee, was just as lazy/rude as the cashier.
I’m sorry, but when I walk into a coffee shop, I am expected to be greeted with a smile, and for my cashier to not just be leaning on the counter. Very horrible experience. I’ll stick to Biggby for my coffee and bagel breakfast sandwich from now on.
