We loved this place—delicious beet salad and pizza with a crust I am still dreaming about weeks later. It's pricy—and we didn't drink but the drink prices are pretty high. That said, the food and service are excellent, and the decor is simple with clean lines and decent seating.

Found this gem when we were in the Kalamazoo area for our daughter’s soccer tournament. The food was phenomenal! If I lived in the area this would be one of my favorite go-to spots! Price is reflectied in the quality of the food;)

We were in town for a concert and ran across a few recommendations for Cafe 36. Cool little spot. Friendly staff. Joe was very helpful as our server and topped off a great experience here. We will most likely return because there were quite a few menu items we want to try. If you're looking for a new place to eat, this is definitely worth a visit.

Pizza was nice. One of the few places in Kalamzoo that serve brick oven pizza. It was light and not over the top.
I do feel the size was smaller than other pizza places for the price we paid. But the place looks more suitable for date or a sophisticated dinner with colleagues. The only other dinners I saw were nicely dressed and apparantly no student like me was in sight.
I had my first meal there on 12/21/24, excellent food! I will return!

Absolutely insulting portion sizes on the entree. Paid $22 for Aglio e Olio - and while it was delicious, it was half or less the size of the bowl it was served in.
I brought this up to the waitress who assured me this was normal for this specific plate.
I asked about similar pasta plates (one of which was $26) and was informed that they, too, were of the same serving size.
Great food, but not worth the almost "kid's menu" portions.
Ordering an entree should not feel like getting a side - especially when it's something like a pasta dish.

My new favorite restaurant!! Drinks were very balanced & yummy. Food is immaculate!! We tried the burrata and shrimp sticks which were quite an experience. I've had a lot of pappardelle bolognese but this one might be the best. The short rib was also the best ive had. We will be back!!

Their expertise extended to both the drink and food offerings, providing invaluable recommendations.
