The food here is always good, but if you arent near your phone after placing an order online you will come back to 10 missed calls from 2 different numbers all because their online payment system doesn't work? So I had to pay over the phone, which is fine and I understand. I am so glad I didnt have my ringer on otherwise the back to back calling, while I was switching laundry, would have for sure woken up one of my kids.
They locked the doors at 11:52 when it says it’s open till 12 AM
They were rude about handling a missing order that was not counted for on there end.
I've been eating at Campus walk/campus Kitchen for about 23 years. On average, I come into eat one or two times a month. I've never had bad service, every worker I've encountered has always been nice and helpful. Their food is delicious, my favorites are empress chicken, General Tso's chicken, and vegetable or shrimp tempura sushi. The restaurant is consistently busy with pickup orders every time I've ever been here. Food is definitely reasonably priced and they serve large portions. I've only dined in or ordered something over the phone and picked it up, so I can't comment on online orders. I definitely recommend!
Not overly friendly staff but restaurants are so busy for take-out these days, i cant blame em!
I hate leaving poor reviews, but in this case I’m hoping it may help others make an informed decision about where to spend their hard earned money.
First, the pick up order took 15 minutes longer than stated to prepare. But, wait… there’s more.
I ordered the chicken and broccoli, fried rice and egg roll. On my second bite of the chicken and broccoli, I discovered a long hair in the food. I called the restaurant and explained the situation. They offered to remake the dish (I would have to come pick it up) or give me an in-store credit. Honestly, I didn’t want either. Who would?! You want me to trust you to remake food in an establishment that can’t take enough care to avoid getting hair in my food? Or the alternative, buy more food from you at a later date! I was incredibly frustrated by the lack of concern and poor effort to correct the issue. THEN, I took a bite of the egg roll and heard a crazy loud crunch. I spit the food out, and there were some indistinguishable black pieces of lord knows what on my napkin. I have no idea what it was. Absolutely disgusting and shameful. I will never revisit Campus Wok.
The food is good but the website never works. Every single time I order online I receive a phone call asking for my card information because the website is being updated. This has been from 2022-2024. I took a break ordering from there because it was annoying that every single time I ordered I received a phone call. Fast forward to 6 months later. I was like lemme try and see if their website is updated yet. Nope. I placed an online order and immediately received a phone call. Extremely obnoxious. Why have a website to order from if every single time you are required to give your card information over the phone?
This Restaurant Hours Suck, I called at 1:30 am and every time I do that an hour or half hour before they close,They refuse to deliver. Don’t order through them after 1 am

I got the Szechuan tofu. After letting it cool on a ten minute walk and blowing on it heavily, it still burned the frick out of my mouth for two days…but aside from that, I thought $11 for a large portion of tofu and side of rice was a good deal, but they hardly put ANY tofu in there and it was all vegetables, even though they have other dishes that specifically say they include mixed vegetables, and this one did not, so it felt a bit unfair the ratio of vegetables to tofu. Like 80% veggies and all the tofu was just placed on top. The flavor was there, but the burnt mouth and ripped off wallet made it not taste as good😡
I placed an online order like we always do, but this time a worker called me asking for the debit card info that I already entered into their website. The worker struggled to explain this sketchy behavior, but basically they save your card info from call in orders(without my knowledge) which then allows you to place online orders afterwards. Upgrade your website and technology. These shady practices can lead to fraud!!!

Not good Chinese food compared to other options in Kalamazoo. Im sure it serves it's customer base well, take that for what it is.

I ordered the teriyaki beef, Japanese style. To those saying that it was burnt, or all skin, or not good quality...I am so sorry that all you've ever had was an Americanized version. It was cooked to perfection, not burnt, that's how teriyaki beef made by someone with a more authentic recipe is. I loved it, and the rice! The pork dumplings are also amazing, either fried or steamed. And for the price? So much food, I have enough for leftovers. I'm thrilled with this place after being disappointed by so many other local restaurants. I'll be back, for sure.

Good fried rice. Good prices. The steamed vegetables with chicken is quite good.
It’s nothing special but it’s good! Basic Chinese that you crave at 12am. Food is always fresh. I’m always pleased. Sesame chicken.
