This place has the best hot dogs ever I've had a lot of hot dogs in my life and this place is the only place that makes them right staff was wonderful I think everyone should go here at least once but once you've had one you'll keep going back for more thank you for making it such a pleasant experience and for letting me leave with a full stomach I really can't give this place enough credit if there was the option to leave 1,000 Stars I would do it

For never been there before I was a bit disappointed. Honestly I can make better chili dogs at home. It was soggy, fell apart, VERY MESSY. Didn't taste like chili. Was just ground beef. fries were ok. Bathroom smelt old and musty. For being the oldest restaurant in town... Y'all need to step it up.

I love Coney!! The owners and staff are very friendly. Their Chicago dog is spot on, the Coney is delicious and the fries are perfect.

This place serves hot dogs, hamburgers and gyros.
We had the hamburger, coney dogs, and onion rings. Everything made to perfection

It's a simple place with good food. Highly recommend.

Coney Island has been a staple of Kalamazoo Michigan since 1915! A true Coney Dog..not Chili! My father ate there often! He and his buddy would go almost every week. His buddy, who married my dad's wife sister, Uncle Mike to me, passed away not to long ago. He adored the Coney Dog and occasionally he would order them to be shipped to Manassas Virginia. Coney Island does ship! Recent years before his passing he moved back to Kalamazoo and yes his first stop was Coney Island. My dad and him in the 50's would go around least twice a week.
So when friends of mine said let's go to Coney Island..we went.
When you first come in to the restaurant, you smell the Coney sauce on the stove, see the hot dogs on an antique griddle. They have burgers too which are great. Prices are reasonable and it's a great lunch spot. From the tin tiles on the ceiling to the simple seating. It's nothing fancy but nostalgic. Very clean. It's still run by the family, as the son has taken over operations now. Nothing has changed!!!

Great place to eat downtown kalamazoo. You can either pay to park behind building in a parking lot. Or you can park on side of road. Coney dog and cheese frys are great, the Chicago dog was ok but they use a sweet relish so not a fan.
