Coffee and treats are usually great tasting and I love the holiday variations throughout the year. Long time staff are usually friendly, although I've experienced some less than stellar attitudes from the weekend staff in Angola lately. The penny-gate rounding situation now is ridiculous and the prices should be adjusted to make the totals end in 5¢ instead of expecting the customer to accommodate your policy changes haphazardly. They have great customer service, the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. Drinks with a lot of sugar (like the lattes my partner orders) seem fine but the coffee on its own is… not. It just doesn’t taste good.

Either they’re using a Scandinavian style super light roast that’s intended to come out more like acidic fruit tea; or they’re under extracting / over filtering during the brewing process. Might be a combination of the two. The end...

Stopped into Five Lakes Coffee after seeing really good reviews online. The place itself is really nice - spacious, lots of tables, definitely the kind of spot that works well for catching up with a friend or getting a little work done.

I ordered their popular vanilla caramel latte, but when it came out, it was surprisingly room temperature even though it was labeled as “hot.”
