We had reservations at 10:00 am today to celebrate Father's Day, at 9:40 am they called to notify me that they needed to cancel my reservation due to an issue in the kitchen. I questioned why I was only finding out about it as we were walking out the door. The kitchen staff arrives much earlier than their opening time, someone should have contacted us sooner. This was for a Saturday morning brunch on a holiday weekend, making it nearly impossible to get a seat at any other decent restaurants in the area. The person on the phone was less than sympathetic that our morning plans had been derailed on short notice.

Very limited menue - check online first. We could get only a high table and for some climbing up the high seat/ getting close to the table was a challenge. Not the kind of restaurant you expect on Open Table - and they don't even check reservations and seating times as there is plenty of free tables

We enjoy our visits to Hopcat....the one downside is you better not be in a hurry. Service was slow, as usual......mostly driven by a very slow kitchen....and it was not overly busy. Still, that's the only real drawback, so yes, we will return.

Been to HopCat many times and many other locations. This time was like no other, and not for the good. Drinks were watered down, hot entrees were lukewarm when served and the sever appeared more interested in turning the table than serving us. Not sure I will rush back to another HopCat after this experience.

Really great! Definitely recommend reserving for groups! We hand a lot of room and they let us bring a cake. Awesome birthday celebration.

Food and service were pretty underwhelming / disappointing compared to all the positive things I have heard about this place. Nothing exceptionally horrible but don't know that I'd personally recommend this place to anyone or return.

Food was subpar. Caesar salad was just lettuce with croutons and sparsely any chicken. Had to ask for every little thing like dressing and refills, etc. Did not enjoy the experience.

Enjoy a nice lunch here at this location in Kalamazoo! Let’s just start with the fries…they are so addicting with the cheese sauce you could sit there all day just eating them!! I had a spicy beer which was even more amazing paired with the fries! Also enjoy a Mimosa which was great too. Had the a burger covered in cheese sauce too and was so savory and filling! 10/10 would be back again. The service was top notch also, don’t sleep on hopcat always a great time with great food!
Parking: It’s a free parking Lot with some off street parking too but will fill Up fast during busy times

We stopped there because they allowed dogs on their patio. The patio was closed, but once I told them we had our dog, they didn’t hesitate to get us seating out there. The food was amazing! Will definitely be going back… with our dog ?
