Update: 8/29 - Went Back and tried the Chocolate Coconut Almond fudge and it was really good. Hence the rating increase from 3 to 4 stars!Tried out the icecream today at Lafayette's. The place is really clean and hygienic and is located in a good location. But the Icecream could be better. We tried the classic flavors Vanilla & Chocolate but they were just alright and a little bland. Hopefully the other flavors are better and will try them next time.

Nice and cozy Ice cream store. They have maintained very good cleanliness and the staff is very courteous. They have proper social distancing in place due to Covid-19. We tried their Madagascar Vanilla and Malted Chocolate. The flavor is not as sweet as your usual ice cream and can be improved. Spotted a fridge on the side with their Ice cream tubs fully stocked to go.Update: we went back to try different flavors, the lemon curd was sold out and the owner was busy making a new batch!Mackenna was amazing! Great customer service! She recommended that I try the lemon curd with blackberry sauce. And it was soooo good! I finally understood why it was sold out. I would love to go back for more. Their coconut chocolate flavor is a nice spin on bounty chocolate and was also enjoyable!Update: Okay I tried their Apricot Sumac, and it was not overly sweet, but just right and tasted so fresh and amazing! Another winner! Great job! I am changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars?? my husband had their chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream which was also really delicious!

Just left Paw Paw location. Limited selection. Got a small sundae and it was so small it took about 5 bites to finish and the ice cream tasted like frost.

I LOVE Lafayette Creamery BUT I don't love a business serving the public who is violating safe practices during a pandemic. I brought my family of 6 to Lafayette Creamery in Texas Corners this afternoon shortly after they opened. Upon arrival I was shocked to see that three teenagers without masks on were being served ice-cream. There is an Executive Order mandating all employees and customers wear a mask when in a public place. Well, the single employee (appropriately wearing a mask and gloves) helping the prior customers was joined by TWO OTHER EMPLOYEES--NOT WEARING A MASK! (Again the current executive order states all employees wear masks.) When a second employee (maskless) asked if me if she could take my order, I asked her, "Don't you need a mask in order to serve me?" She simply walked away and joined the other maskless employee. I believe in supporting local businesses, but I also believing in preserving public health. Lafayette Creamery is failing to protect our community. I will not return.
