Latitude 42° Brewing Company Kalamazoo (Oshtemo)

Latitude 42 was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in over 20 years. I’ve never had better food and each meal presented around me made me think, “that looks awesome … I want to try that”. They were slammed so we sat at the bar. Not one of the 4 bartenders ever passed by us without checking in or making themselves available appropriately. The place was packed.

The burgers were very good. The fries which cost extra were extremely salty. I couldn't finish the truffle fries because of the over salting.

Food was fantastic. I got the Buttermilk Chicken and my wife got the Braised Meat&Potatoes. Service started good but it took 20 minutes for a kids apple juice and Chocolate Milk. Not sure why you would wait to bring the drinks out with the food, I've never heard of that. The server was busy but maybe had a lot of tables

The bar tender didn't wash her hands after changing tasks and bare handed components that went into my drink, and a waitress or hostess had such bad breath that now my breath smells like hers, my lungs itch and I'm coughing up stuff (likely coronavirus). Would not recommend going here for health concerns.

The tacos, meat and potatoes, and appetizers are fantastic. Great service and cool atmosphere.

Recommended dishes: Blackened Shrimp Tacos

Trying to compare my visit from 2023, a lot of classic faves have been taken out of the menu like shrimp tacos. Resulted to order salmon dish, my daughter got some shrimp pasta, both have one thing in common, vey salty!!! Big granules of salt I could chew oh my!!! The wait of the food was like almost 45mins…. Hey guys please step up for 2025

I didn’t have the best luck with my salad but my boyfriend really liked the burrito bowl! And our server Evy was fantastic and made me not even upset over my food because of how nice and prompt she was for us. I would still go back because usually I love Latitude.

Overall, it was alright. The pretzels & beer cheese were very difficult to finish, and I am not particularly picky. I couldn't detect any flavor in the beer cheese and it was lumpy, which grossed me out. The pretzels were crispy and tasty, but too salty for me. The service was a little slow - not due to the staff, but more to a lack of staff to accommodate the volume they had. The Huevos Rancheros Burrito Bowl had really great flavor, a generous portion size, and made the visit worth it. I might visit again, but there are other breweries and restaurants that I like better. The aesthetic was interesting and modern & I am sure the drinks are great.

We had a family celebration, at the West Main locations, for my graduating daughter. The service was wonderful, food unbelievably delicious!!
The best thing about this restaurant is that you can dress up or casual and always be comfortable!
